@HempStaff has done an AMA on the Pro side of the forum in the past, but this will be a first over here with everyone over here on the @Hobbyist side. Iām hopeful it will be a good one, but the only we way we can make this succeed is through the participation of all our members. Please get in on this event! This is open to everyone!
Thanks @hiesenberg3 but we couldnāt do any of this without the amazing community we are building together. Thanks for the support and I am excited to hear your input today!
Good morning, everyone! This show starting soon? I am really excited about the AMA thing you have going on here, it is a great feature. Great job, Nick!
Oh, lol, I forget there is a timezone in the US earlier than mine. I am in Mountain Timezone and most of my peeps are east of me, lol, besides being horrible with time anyway. I will set a timer, thank you!
You are welcome! I see great things in your future and in the future of GN with leaders like you. Thank YOU!
Alright, @Hobbyist, are we ready to kick this thing off and go LIVE?
Itās great to be hosting this Growers Network event today with my friend James Yagielo (AKA @HempStaff). Thanks for being here with us today and for hosting an AMA.
@HempStaff, as a recruiter for the cannabis industry, Iām sure you get a lot of questions. What is your favorite advice to give to people who want to break into the cannabis industry? Where does a potential applicant start?!?
The FIRST thing we recommend to start, is look at your current skills or employment and think of how/if that can translate into the cannabis industry. These days we hire a lot more than budtenders and growers - we need inventory clerks, accountants, sales, marketing or so on!
Have you worked with anyone transitioning from a current career into a cannabis related career? Iām talking about us 40+ year old people. How would you recommend someone make that transition?
