Best POS system

We are working on Quick book POS right and are looking to upgrade to a POS that is bespoke for mmj. After the MJ freeway crash we are a bit hesitant. All the platforms we have talked to claim to be the only one who talks directly to METRIC. Looking for any advice to help with this growing marketplace.

I’m not intimately familiar with any one system, but in my travels I’ve come across these POS systems (which are not MJ freeway):

  1. https://www.biotrack.com/
  2. https://www.greenbits.com/
  3. http://odava.com/

Thriving420 is quite good, as is GreenBits. TraceWeed is integrating with both, and we are already set up for BioTrackTHC.

I’m not sure if you can use BioTrackTHC without it being the state system. If you can, i’d love to know about it.

Another option here:

I don’t have any direct experience with them - anyone a customer of theirs?

We are using WebJoint. Its a good POS system but the company is new and growing and still needs a lot of features.

Does anyone use mmjmenu?

I have used Green Bits for 12 months. It interfaces with the state bio track system. Works pretty well…
You are also able in Washington to go directly to the free software provided by biotrack although it’s cumbersome I guess it will work have heard mixed reports.

I have about 2.5 years experience with BioTrack. I wouldn’t recommend it honestly.

What don’t you like about it @Jason.Back?

It’s not the state system in Colorado, but many places use it.

It’s buggy, slow at times, and the functionality is limiting. It doesn’t interface well with loyalty programs or online menu websites. It also doesn’t directly interface with METRC, only indirectly.

This is a great question, actually. A lot of businesses are using square, but you have to be careful.

Keep in mind that WA is going out with a request for proposals for the state system in November. Biotrack may not be there next year.
