Your Solo cups look and sound just like my “mini-hempy buckets” I used post-germination using hydroton on the bottom and an inert soilmix of 75/25 coir and Perlite, substituting hydroton when Perlite is gone.
Then I take each plug from my germinator and stick it into these cups and them into one of my controlled tubs:
Never thought of starting the seed there…
Double cup and water the bottom cup…
I will do that immediately when I plant. Do I mist to keep soil wet or is the bottom cup enough and for how long?
Add a little water on the soil top…do this until you see roots out the slits in the upper cup…the roots are not as white as I would like… but that is because I have no room to transplant until some go out door… but this should clarify what we are talking about…
Ok @beths you ready LoL… You and I are the only 2 doing growers choice seeds let’s kick some ass girl… Double cup will keep the bottom soil a bit more moist and roots love searching for moisture and source to get water and nutrients… I personally don’t double up but I get it… Have your seeds germinated yet?
That cup is full of roots…lol…and when you transplant use Mychorraise inoculate or kelp meal…in the root ball zone…

Crazy brother… I’m about to transplant the Acapulco Gold this weekend for outside… Perfect conditions now 80-90 but I have a shade if need be I can’t wait bro it’s my first outdoor veg to flower I may need some advice lol!

Ok ok so exciting! NOW HURRY UP AND WAIT! Ha ha sorry once you get rolling it can go fast. I staryed my runtz strain with 9 seeds and now i have so many cloned plants ill never get rid of my runtz…I love them so!

Patience… the hardest thing for a grower to learn…
All comfy in their paper towels. Will be checking them every couple hours to make sure they stay moist.
Do I pre-water my solo cups in advance? Like should I do it now even though I probably won’t plant until tomorrow?
Don’t forget to keep them in the dark for now!
