From what I understand, if your temps are higher, you need more humidity. If temps are cooler you need less… I found this chart and wondering if it’s accurate. The way I’m reading it if I have high temps, I need to add more moisture? I just like to understand, doesn’t necessarily mean I’m going to go and change everything

Yeah you want to follow the vpd chart for sure but science dictates that molecules in warmer air expand and the larger surface allows the air to hold more moisture. Cool it it will hold less moisture.

Man what great advice youve got, nail on the head. If your cooling the shed pick up the air intake from the shed you’ll be fine. You wanna exhaust outside though. And ya your humidity is no worry’s at all. See what’s Hap is gonna add . LoL what’s up Hap

I think the point we’re making is get your temperature down and see what happens. You don’t know until you do it it might balance out perfect for you. Just remember as the seasons change so Will the temperature and humidity in the tent. So these things will always be in flux unless you have $5000 invested in a room with its own climate control. Increasing humidity is easy. Get your temperature under control and everything else will fall in place relatively easy.

Yes okay awesome! I’m cooling the shed, and exhaust runs straight outside. But the shed is hotter than hell even with the AC full blast all day it gets up to around 88-90. The highest I’ve seen the tent temperatures get was 91 so far. And like you all said, I’ll be seeing a very nice slightttt decline in temperatures for the next 6-7 months or so. Things should be a bit easier for me.

If you’re starting your plants now you got four weeks before your plants get Big enough to really start worrying about it. Just keep the temperature down as low as you can and then a month they should be manageable for you.

I have one auto going. It’s been outside this entire time. Day 18 and first day in the tent, so I’m also worried about all that. But here she is a couple days ago.

oh man i love where this thread is going. I was going to reply with a VPD chart but the guys beat me to the punch.
temp and humidity are facets that control VPD which is the true goal of environment sensing.
if in the future you need to dehu further the rolling 30-80 pint active air dehus are pretty good for the money. Add a small pump into the condensate res and you got a easy source of clean water with good dehu coverage. Just bear in mind Dehus will raise the heat in your space by a couple of degrees.

Oh and one other thing .lol and of course it’s coming from me. I don’t have a great handle on my environment … surprise surprise and I still get high from my bud…lol environment is the last of my challenge to get right but it’s not like your just fucked with it out of limits ya know. So it isn’t like you really have to stress all that much over it. By all means work on it but don’t let it stress you out when it gets out of wack - your shit isn’t gonna die tomorrow if you have a 30% humidity or a 92° day you know.

Quick update. A lot has changed for this plant in the past few days. Sour D auto. It’s been outside since it started, we are on day 17. I transplanted it two days ago from a solo into a 3 gallon which seemed to go well and didn’t notice any changes. And then moved it into a tent today.
Tent set up: 3x5 Spider farmer sf2000. AC infinity 6 inch. Oscillating fan over top. Light is 30 from the top running at about 65 percent. These two top leaves seem to be a bit sad and also a lot more green than what I’ve seen so far. Stressed out because of all the changes? What do you all think? Just the first time I’ve seen it anything but looking incredibly healthy.
It didn’t show any signs of stress after the transplant. Seems like the move into the tent. How should I transition light? Any sort of way? I know, I did it all ass backwards

what power light are you using?
Id say run your light where its at with the power its at for now and give the plant a couple of days to tell you. If it stretches you should move it down (or up the power but moving it down is cheaper) or if its leaf temps are getting too high or new growth is yellowing you should turn down the power. all that depends on your light of course.
also the plant looks fine to me. bit more water/RH might help her stretch a bit more

Light is 200w. Top of my soil seems pretty bone dry, but the bottom felt a touch heavy. I’ve been in solo cups which has helped seeing how much it’s drinking but now I’m not too sure.

200W light you are Def not going to give it too much light at 30" and 65%. Since it looks like it needs a stretch a bit anyway I would leave it until 1-2 nodes and see how you want to go. If its any metric im using a RIOe200W LED. I had the light at 12" from the plants moving the light up with the plants from day one but progressed from 25-75% in veg and kicked them to 100% wk1 of flower. my light at about 12" at 80F gives me about 450-500 ppfd of light which is not as much as I would want but its still good for the space im using and the levels of CO2 I want to give the plant.
like @LoCoRocK said give it some time it should start to pick up speed. a bit of VPS Flavuh, Yucca Extract, or CocoWet should help a bit more with the water distribution in your Coco but it shouldnt be a problem as the roots fill out the pot and you keep her regularly watered through

Remember the weight of your bag/pot bone dry and runoff wet. This will help you gauge watering time tremendously. They will explode now having come out of the solo cups. It is a little worry some at first but it’s just a weed and you got this. We all will be with you every step and eager with advice or notes of what we have messed up doing …lol
It’s the only way I know how to learn is through getting it wrong. And I’ve done just about everything the wrong way so I’m best at giving advice on what I already messed up trying. LoL
Just remember patience and small increments. You can always add more no worries and you have all the time ahead of you. It’s a fun learning game and a rewarding hobby.
