I would still consider night time light runs. If you can make sure it’s absolutely 110% sealed. That would help with temps for sure. You’ll have to get a feel for it and test the waters but you’ll get it. That insulated board is good stuff especially for blocking light but it’s only like a 3 to 5 R value. If you wanna help bring that temp down you’ll still need R20 or some fiberglass bats or rolls behind it which can be secured by netting or the hardboard. Have you seen what Hap did with his room, he cools his entire shed unlike me, more along the lines of your gig. Your gonna be just fine mate, it’s a work in progress that you will be fine tuning until the day you retire from growing. Also as a disclaimer I kind of just scrolled through the last 20 hits trying to catch up on some stuff so I am sure I missed a little something something.
Pretty excited to see some lacewing on my peppers! I added my very first compost tea to the pepper garden this morning and this was the first time I noticed the lacewing. Not sure if it made a difference or not…
Soooooo first day running the tent. Humidity is through the roof. What do you all suggest?
Outside humidity is 91% right now, I’m extracting straight outside of my shed. I’m expecting humidity to even out around 55% once the sun comes out and dries everything up.
Tent is 3x5. Should I get a dehumidifier? Which one? Hook it up to an Inkbird?

You can run veg at that humidity and should have no issues. It will need to be under control for flower though so a dehumidifier is in order.

What do you recommend for dehumidifier set up?
Man I wouldn’t even know where to start with your set up. I run a 70 pint in a 10x12 room. Problems I see you need to figure out, if you just use the dehu in the shed, is the shed sealed good enough you can control rh? Other option is to put the dehu in the tent but it will add more heat. Yes, rh in the 70’s is just fine for veg. Personally I would want it closer to 55 for flower. I’ve got plants outside been in 90% all damn summer they do fine. @happilyretired you would know better then any the challenges he is facing here. What say you…?
Shed is not sealed so I’m thinking I’d have to get it in the tent.
Veg is cool to be in a jungle setting. They eat way more that way.
Summer is jungly and fall is dryer… Don’t think that’s spelled right lol
I don’t know what you’re gonna do in the shed that’s not sealed. A 3 x 3 tents not big enough to put a dehumidifier in. It just puts off too much heat. And if your shed isn’t sealed then you’re just gonna be constantly pulling moist air into the building. I can’t think of anyway that it will work unless you have an AC and a dehumidifier for the whole shed. And then set your tent up in that environment. 
Gotcha. I have an A/C installed inside the shed. I guess I’ll have to throw the dehu in the shed it sounds like. Temps in the shed are max 86 when the AC is blasting in the middle of a summer day. With “fall” coming I should be in better shape. I don’t plan on growing anything during the summer here because it’s so insanely hot/humid

Okay good news. Humidity went down. This is first day in the tent. I didn’t turn anything on including AC in the shed until 5 AM. So I’m thinking I should be golden. This is about the hottest/most humid it’ll get until next summer.
Okay soooo now humidity is 48-50 but temps are up to 92… now I’m thinking about adding moisture
Honestly didn’t think you’d get the rh down that low. Any settings on the dehu for adjustment?
I’m thinking my shed is better sealed than I thought, and the AC pulling out moisture. I don’t have a dehu in here I just think it’s the A/C plus the 6 inch AC infinity running
You’re over thinking it at this point. Don’t worry about humidity until you get into flower. Concentrate on your temperature so you don’t stress them out. you can grow just fine with low humidity. I’ve been doing it for years. When I do my outdoor, during the day my humidity in the summer is rarely over 20%. And those girls speak for themselves as far as health. As your plants grow your humidity is going to increase. More leaves more plant more moisture. Lots of air movement couple of fans. When they get big enough l usually run one under their skirts and then one over the top. My advice would be to tackle one problem at a time.

If you get one of those little portable weather stations you can track it through 24 hours . Or for a week for all that matters. Walking in and out throughout the day at different times it’s going to be different every time. But you can check your average with one of these things.

You might want to try to get the temperature lower if possible, maybe shoot for low to mid 80s.
Agreed with @happilyretired 100% keep in mind high temps will always hold more humidity. Lower temps will run drier. Just get your temps in check and it will all look better, not perfect but better 
I’m still messing with appliances to get my new room in check. Starting to get consistent just need to dial it in now.
