Those were all Cherry OG’s. I had a few differentiated phenos.
I may try to fit it in somehow.
Should I wipe down the insterior of the tent with alcohol or Hydrogen peroxide to clean it properly when a hermie has been in it?
Na just a mist of water kills pollen and basically makes it inactive instantly. And thats if the the male flower pod opens then the anthers/nanners full of pollen open and then its too late. If that didnt happen then no pollen was even released in the tent and your good.
In this cannabis flower anatomy diagram the bottom right.
Send me the hermi seeds
Really?? You want them? How many?
How badly seeded is that soda? It honestly was a nice grow to watch regardless
Sure. I wanna test a theory.
Yeah, I don’t need the seeds anymore if they are Herming on everyone. Lol
All of this is why I wanted to send the seeds out to test them and see if others had the same results. I mean right off the bat I figured they were from hermi pollen. I wanted to better understand hermi batches of seeds more than just growing a handful every season as I can. I have much more potentiel growing many other varieties that are all unique and have good genetics. As @PreyBird1 is saying hermi seeds pretty much get hermi plants which is what me and my parter have tested for years. But I just wanted to see more results from different grows in different areas by other growers. And it’s amazing the results I’ve gotten back! Honestly I was hoping others might have better luck with ther hermi trait. Well I can hope as much as I want but it did nothing. Anyways from what I have found is literally not a single male. None whatsoever none that me and my parter have grown hundreds of plants from seed of cherry og in particular. and none from any testers. I was hoping there would be a chance for a male but at this point. My theory is hermi pollinated seeds will almost never throw a male sex and will more that fifty percent chance for the hermi sex to pop up. Anyways the more you know the more you can grow! I totally understand if no one wants these seeds at all and I can stop offering them to anyone just to save everyone else from the hassle. Like I say this was all just for the refined testing from everyone and I’m so thankful for all the feedback because I still would be testing these seeds myself for years before I could come to this theory! What do you all think about offering these seeds at all? And @PreyBird1 what do you think about the cross I made with the cherry og and Ghost Ship Bx? Fifty fity genetics on hermi seed (cherry og) and regular seed (ghost ship bx)?
Thanks everyone and Happy Growing!
I appreciate you, for the seeds you sent me. I knew going in the Cherry would probably herm. As you can see above, the Bruce and the Ghost ship are coming along nicely. Thank you!
Dude for real that aloha ghost is just as I was hoping she would be man! Definitely living up to its genetics!
And oh for sure I try to let everyone know the seeds are hermi seeds. But like I say I’ve had plenty of results to create a true theory now. Again because everyone has been willing to help me with all the testing! So in return I appreciate everyones feedback!
Well hopefully the stability of the ghost ship Back cross overides the hermie trait. Which plant is the polinator/reversal and Which is the mother? Because the mother usually carries over the most traits. But thats only 80/20% of the time. So it can be a crap shoot sometimes. And sometimes once you have that particular phenotype from the seed you grew out is different than the other seeds that grow. F1’s are pretty erratic instesd of uniform across the board. Thats why if your serious about the strain the you have to pheno hunt the parents breed them. Then grow out the seeds, pheno hunt them for the pair you want to mate. Now you need to keep 2 clones. Then breed the parent plant stock you selected on the last hunt. Now you have your F2’s and you can test them for uniformity and structure to see if its what you worked for. Are the results what you were trying to accomplish? If not you have the clones to go back on and try again. But more important you now have baby mother clones you can use. Example say the F2 is a better type of high but not so bulky in bud size. You could breed the better high back into the strian, but you dont really want the smaller bud size. So you have to be selective for the traits, terps, structure/morphology, leaf to flower ratio, internodal spacing. You can run a breeding poject for years using only 1 strain or a few strains. The BX of plants takes time and living mothers. Clones allow you to breed or have multiple identical plants to play with and always have the mothers that are tiny. But also there like extra lives lol, if one dies trying something then you have more to try again. But this keeps your strain alive and ready to BX, or IBL, femmanize, or just breed normal with normal pollen.
@PreyBird1 such a knowledgeable man bro
I might of only popped two in the end but I never got a hermi, both plants were totally different in look and smoke and height but both grew good strong nugs an no sign of a hermi whatsoever.
Test seeds are always a risk but there a test and that’s more exciting than knowing what there going to do and how they react.
The one with purple for me smoked a lot better
I haven’t ran any tests with that seed line yet and figured the mother would carry over more of the traits. Cherry og would be the mother in this case. Like you say we can hope the ghost ship is stable enough genetics which I know it is since it’s from Coloradoseedinc. But that’s not enough for me to trust those seeds fully I’ll start doing some tests whit those seeds now too. Just to see if they still have the hermi trait or not. But yes thanks for all the information! Definitely good to know!
I think we have all learned a lot! And I’m so glad we all could learn together as a whole! Thanks again for all the tester’s results and feedback!
Curious…but all of this was already known. So exactly why did you think that someone else growing it would produce any different results?
