The flowers are beautiful.
Just had that happened no to long ago. But mine was light and heat stress. Haave lots of seeds saved at least.,

This is why F1ās need to be tested before there given out. I try and in house test all my strains before i give them out. You never know what a cross might make. Sometimes they just dont mix well and are always unstable genetics. Ive been running my Runtz breeding program for 5yrs now. Not to mention all my other strains. I got some blackcherry soda from Charlie seeds and they all hermied also. The cherry smell is incredible but im not going to try growing them again. When herms happen i dont waste my time trying to remove the herm traits unless i really really want the strain for breeding back to a strain or whatever reason i thought its worth keeping. I have 6 strains i made that are awesome but i dont care for them so i dont let them out to the public.
Are you referring to my post about the two seedlings? I donāt understand.
I think heās referring to the cherry og seeds. Quite a few have hermed out from what Iāve read.
I was referring to the cherry ogās hermying
With good warning!! So yay for that!

How will I know if my two OGās are āhermied,ā and what do I do if one or both are āhermied?ā
Bruce Banner from @970cannetics.
My Cherry OG hermied early. You will see both balls and the 2 white hairs. I chopped mine immediately.
So I need to get rid of them if they are āhermie?ā How early were you able to tell? I am going to search for a photo so I know what Iām looking at. Just so I know, why are āhermiesā bad? Iām still learning about this stuff!
Thanks!
That plant looks nice and healthy!

Wow, ask and ye shall receive! I saved those photos to use as a reference. What seeds were used for your Jan. 24 post?
Yeah hermied plants are not good as they are unstable and 90% of the time they just make more hermie seed later or pollinate your entire grow messing it up. Once a female plant gets even a little polinated it changes the plants resin output to make seeds instead. And i personally do not like to smoke flower that was seeded. Its not the same and i dont like it. I got some cherry soda seeds from charlieseeds and omg the cherry smell is amazing but they hermied and i was like there test seeds. Man i have like half a pound of kick ass smelling weed thats seeded like a mofo! I mean tons of seedsā¦charlie said i could give them away but i dont even want to mess with them. Or spread those around here. There are some nice unseeded flower but i dont have time to go picking around. Im gonna de seed all of the flower and make canni-butter. Hermies can happen to anyone at anytime. You can cause it by environmental stresses, too much light the list goes on and this is why we try and test what we make to try and find some good strain creations.
If you want to try something interesting take a clone off a hermie plant from the very top. And grow it for 3 weeks clone it again. Flower the 2 clones out and watch the hermie ratio between the plants. Ive done this a couple times and i actually have 1 cultivar that always hermies at 7.5 weeks but finishes at 8 weeks. I keep it around becaue its smoke is very very potent. I have seeds from it also but wont give them to anyone because i know it hermies. I just like that flower to smoke so grow it occasionally still. But the point was as you clone it a couple times. the hermies typically decline as you clone more. Try it out and see if its the same for you?
OK Mad Scientist! If one of those little Cherry OG plants turns into a hermie, I will try that cloning.
Also, I just bought a 48x48x80 tent, so I really need to get rid of my 36x36x72 Vivosun tent. It is in perfect condition. Is there a place on this site where I can sell it? I have listed it on Craigslist, OfferUp, and Nextdoor, but had only two inquiries and I could tell they werenāt serious and they disappeared. Iām only asking $55.
You have no room for it at all? Nice to have 2 areas to grow. Then you can perpetuate your grows.
