My best birthday gift of all. . .I had done a google search for an old friend who had meant something to me. But we lost touch when I was wrapped up in nursing school, then working.
I found her months ago, in a nursing home-- but couldnt visit her becuz of covid. She is 96. So yesterday, after breakfast, I went to see her. What a gift to find her and hug her.
It was emotional. I cried on the way home.
Next time I visit her, I will remember to get a picture.

@Enlightened420 U are right Oreo. Her only living relative is her son and he lives in Texas, which is far away from us. I dont think he visits her very much.
I plan to visit her weekly. Heres something I noticed as a nursing student. Nursing home residents who have regular visitors often get better care/ more careful attention. The facility she lives at is one of the best and most expensive in my area. So maybe that place does a little better.

Good morning! Well I made a decision yesterday. I pulled and threw out all of my klip dagga. I still have seeds if I wanna plant some later. But it is really invasive. I can recognize the seeds now. 2 days ago, really early, in the morning dew, I saw dagga seeds stuck all over on the leaves of my other plants. I am constantly pulling dagga coming up in the pots with other plants.
It is so desperate to grow, it did this!
