Sun is out Breeze is blowing. Muddy at the garden. We will chain saw up material for our raised beds. We are using cedar trees to construct the beds.

Hi guys, foliar feeding is a general term and can be interpreted differently.
From full synthetics, teas, or applying microbes to create a biofilm of lab made bacteria on the exterior of they plant. Barrier.
At Key to Life I was taught by our Grow Specialist stop all foliar feeding by “pistil set” or not later than weeks 2-3 flower if the strain finishes in weeks 8-9.
For outdoor we stop all foliar by mid Aug or before pistil set unless it’s an emergency.
We stop foliar for several reasons and it also depends on what your feeding in the solution.

What I’m saying is, get your foliar feeding in veg, light and often. Rotate and yes foliar foliar foliar is where it’s at.
I have feed charts that ramp up and and then back down in early flower as a guide.
I myself have seen amazing results from folair feeding.
Factors are timing, conditions, tricks like far red light simulate rain clearing at sunrise/morning for 200% more uptake than roots. Yeah baby!
Foliar feeding can also act as part of and IPM to prevent bugs and kill them and make for big strong clean plants.
We do stop foliar at some point, but there are exceptions why we would spray something in mid to late flower. For example, if a grower has problems like bugs PM or Mites, we would spray and do something about past pistil set.
In that situation plain water and Key to Life’s ENDzymes is totally safe to spray through flower to kill PM and mites.
If a grower is growing for terpenes or using the flower for pressing or extracts, there are certain things we don’t spray at all in flower like sulphur products!
Unless you want :fireworks:?
Foliar feeding can take things to the next level and deserves it’s own topic of do’s, dont’s, why, and so many recipes based on what the plant needs or telling us.
In regards to THC %. Lab work is just a piece of paper.
If flower has no taste or terps, the THC % means nothing to me on the label or lab report.
With hemp we send in more stem/leaf, so the THC on the lab test is under .299999%.

That is excellent information. I think that guy Ace does more pure water feeding in late flower. 4 or 5 weeks into flower mold becomes a serious problem for wet buds . But rumor has it , that he can trigger a false pollination and the buds flower a couple extra weeks. loading up on trichomes and drinking water making sinesimilla flowers. That has been the rumor around town. The Ace guy lives at Monkey Mountain. Rumor has it top growers and scientist are investigating his claims.
I think the old guy is crazy

Farmer k or Kyke I bet Ace will be happy for the outstanding report on the benefits of foliar feeding. Skeptics and critics have been buskin his ass. I think the forum put a zipper on his mouth.

One good advantage of a outdoor grow is the 360 view.
Tip

  1. After the first till let the soil warm for a few days. This will let unwanted seed germinate. I will till a couple more times. I have sand, cow patties, and some rich hot chicken poo. I will have some mite control tips soon.

Thanks farmer
I think more people will experiment with foliar feeding. A good misting early in morning will make trichomes pop. I am going to get farmer k to fine tune me a nutrient program with products at Key to life.

When you say foliar feeding, do you mean something like heavy 16? That’s the only thing I’ve used .

What up boozer
When I say foliar feeding I do alot with just plain water. My organic mix is nutrient rich . I like to establish a large root system. I usually dont give extra nutrients until mid to late growth. If weather conditions are sunny and windy I may mist or sprinkle 2x 3x a day. I dont saturate the roots , just spray foliage till dripping wet. I take my water feeding all the way to harvest. I have never shared how I do this with anyone. I have a few growers doing some testing ,
for reviews. I dont know them but the are known in the cannabis industry.

I believe my misting and sprinkling keeps the mites in check. They seem to like to stay dry. I make a mix aloe Vera, water. neem. I always get mites. I apply using 2 sponges to the large leaves. The sponge removes mites. The mixture is thicker an completely covers the mite hiding area.

The picture of your dog just triggered an old memory. Our old dog, he had a mineral deficiency in his food. We tried all kinds but nothing worked until we gave him a product called Kyo-Green. We were steered to it by a friend that worked at GNC. We tried it and it worked wonders, the dog quit eating the base boards within 2 days, his insane chewing ceased.
Now for the fun part of this story. After we started giving him the Kyo-Green, everywhere he pooped, the grass would be a foot tall (Not really an entire foot, but it was substantial growth) by morning. Does anyone know what’s in Kyo-Green?

There doesn’t seem to be much to it, but I know it worked.

@acereefer okay I’m listening. So what does spraying the leaves with water do? I guess I’m trying to understand what benefits growth wise or is this for your mite protection alone? Thanks for info

Rain on plant leaves provides nutrition and moisture, every part of the plant is kicking in doing its part. It is like a circulatory system.
The mold problem with cannabis is man made.
nature male pollinates female. The seed production opens the flower naturally. A sensimillia flower stacks and gets impacted against other buds. This provides food for mold. If you see a landrace strain growing naturally producing seeds look at the bud structure. In the last weeks with my grow technique I don’t let them stack I will have robust growth with milky trichome growth. I realized the mite protection only after a few years of technique. I see some, but damage is minimal to lower leaves. I use a highly effective application method with sponges.

I see benefits and take pictures . My final test is to smoke my grow.
And share with a hand full of friends for reviews.
I think the report farmerk posted proves my claims and specifys the benefits.

It just proves there is other ways/types to feed a plant and possibly a better way. But it doesnt prove claims yet bud. And im not discounting anyones work or techniques. Just interesting really.
