Growing now inside now and outside in 2024 here in the NorthEast

today is 03/19/2023 here in New York 43 days until May 1st Hallelujah  not soon enough

need to start culling the herd I have doubles of feminized plants

first I will try to rehome them if not bin them :frowning:

found out over the weekend that with the heater on and the dehumidifier on if it was

over 32 F outside the room finishes the night way too hot

if it is over 32 outside I can just run the dehumidifier and end the night at 72 F which far more to

my liking and the plants

so I am smoking my 2021 crop with seeds because I got ripped by The Police :frowning: which does

not help the no seed planting until April thing one bit

plant in flower at 20 days I have started to strip off the crap and will feed them at next watering

with 20-20-20/10-30-20 each at have rate together with Cal Mag at full strength, these poor

plants went into flower abused

the lights at the 3500k are making hard ass buds so no complaints there, running about 550 watts

over 9 three gallon pots in a 5 foot by 5 foot @ 550 PPFD

the only thing that is killing me is my active cooling is in the 5 by 5 which is block off from my veg

room 12 hours a day with the veg lights running 18 hours a day oops

soon as I can I will cut a hole thru the wall and put in another louver exhaust fan

should have had the flowering space at the other end of the room

live and learn eh?

hacked these with a steak knife a week ago and they are doing very nice

less hungry

be safe and grow well

some Blah Blah Blah

this weekend I got to work in my grow room a bunch with lights out

I realized Sunday at an hour before lights on the temp difference between

lights on and lights off was none :frowning:

my plants were not getting the cooler nights they need, I figured out that running

my forced hot air heater and dehumidifier

at some point in the dark cycle were working somewhat against each other :frowning:

by just running the dehumidifier even when it is 18 F outside night finishes around

71 - 72 F

when lights came on Monday at 4 PM the plants looked so much better

I have photos to up later

All good things in all time

today is 03/22/2023 40 days until outside  thank G_d

so the 9 - 3 gallon MAC crosses are looking pretty good at 20 days since the flip

removed lots and lots of foliage

they went too flower hurt

they are under about 525 watts of 3500k LEDs and should be finished in about

7 - 8 weeks in a 5 foot by 5 foot footprint

these are the plants I chopped back to stubs and a week later took a

steak knife to the roots

after the repot in new soil-less and about 10 days they are looking much better

Monday after a couple of days with a night temp of 71-72 F the plants

are doing much better and growing still some beat leaves I do have a

fix for that

cut the leaves off and they will grow new ones

6 Cambodian Roadkill ready to move up to new pots

the six that are going out May First they are getting well it has been a

long row to hoe :frowning:

hoping for 4 pounds a plant for total of 24 pounds for 6 plants dried cured buds

should not be all that hard outside as long as the weather is not hail and

tornadoes with frost on September first

all the best and enjoy the day

sure can in a blink of the eye  I have killed and thrown out lots and lots of plants

I have more seeds them one person could grow

I give clones to folks every spring the folks that make it easy get them next year

the ones that do not their lose :frowning:

I will keep you in mind for sure what happens I never bin anything until the

bitter end

but when it has to go it has to go now, folks tend to slow walk

I am managing a large number of plants in a small space for the plant count

so it has to work or it will work you to death

all the best and enjoy the day

so I am at work because the people whom I work for have this thing about they like to

see me since they are paying me to do something they know nothing about :frowning:

I was just looking out a NAS device (data storage) someone is using a shit ton

of space

turns out to be me  photos of The Weed and growing

so since I am bored to tears I will post some photos of my first year truly

working outside again

so on with the Blah Blah Blah

my 2020 outside grow first serious one outside since 1994 I play around a bit in

2005 -2008 had to stop all together for awhile

this how it always happens plants are so little outside is so large

what the hell it is only a few plants right?

so what is a few more in big tubs three different spots three different grows

you would think

so this how it started in 2020 outside for me I found out my asshole neighbor

was dying of breast cancer I could not get outside fast enough

First thing working outside pots :frowning: makes so much more work instead of growing

in the ground where plants really want to be

Second thinking that super hard budded Indica inside stuff was going to work well here

at 42.8 N with our damp/wet cool/cold falls, with many plants to watch over

most of the time I am truly my own worst enemy, the way out is the way thru

fast forward to the end

The Hedge

I trimmed these plants with hedge shears these at the plant in the wire cages

at the finish

I still not sure how I missed the fact I was going to have pounds and pounds

of wet bud to process oops :frowning: had not worked outside in years

grow spot two

never going to finish pot was way too small watering twice a day every day

with no way of ever getting done :frowning: what to do?

first time growing in a tent I learned a lot, a whole lot some how I missed the fact

when a tent is close with no active venting, with the doors shut it is like

growing in a zip-lock bag closed :frowning:

grow behind the fence

only the good lord in heaven knows why I was working in pots outside, year

of grow inside maybe

probably in my mind if I needed for security reasons I could move them

as it was 2020

never really got the Covid lock down thing as it did not change my life at all

I could have had 10,000 plants that year :frowning: missed that boat

more than likely gorilla glue 4 outside it was OK inside I found it to grow well

but lots of pot grows well eh?

in the end you could just see them over the fence if you looked for them

if you stood on the other side of the fence in the middle of the road

you could smell the Guerilla Glue

what a piss poor choice of spots

buds

that my friends is the Cliff Notes version of my 2020 outside grow, over all I did well

for the first year back outside, grow more bud than one person could process well,

growing the wrong bud that needed too much care at the finish

lost at least 50% of the bud on the stuff I moved inside to finish, same old

story too many plants and not enough room

gray mold and bud rot, still got a lot more than someone who talks about growing

but does not grow

all the best and enjoy the day

Awesome grow there @dequilo done a outdoors like that few years back we put half straight in freezer for hash was no way even 2 of us could of trimmed that much and the half we left out to trim took us 14 days 12hrs plus a day my hands were sore for a month after that trim but well worth it had a few good partys on that crop

Duh! somehow I missed that idea while doing it, I was going to chop half of it and do

BHO but did not want to have a master case or two of Butane coming here

all the best and be safe
