Here I grow again

A question for the future. The tips of the leaves on a lot of them are brown and I assumed it was the light which i’ve adjusted but just checking you pros opinion for growing down the road

The reason that works Prey, is that you are putting the roots all the way down to the bottom of the AutoPot and get them into the moist zone immediately. Those instructions are for transplanting small seedlings into the top of the AutoPot where their roots are not yet down into the zone that the pot keeps moist. And you are using the smallest pots, which doesn’t give you much in the way of depth of soil.

If you start say autoflower seeds directly into the top of the AutoPot (3.9gal) you have to keep the soil watered from the top until the roots get to the moist area in the bottom. Also and although it is my first grow with them, I have already noticed that as the plant gets big, the moisture from the bottom comes all the way to the top of the pot where it doesn’t when the plant is small. The top of my 3.9 gal are now moist at the top, with the plants 4-5 feet tall in flower, where they were not when the plants are small. My guess is that with the roots completely filling the pot it causes more capillary action and the moisture comes up higher in the pot.

Your little 2.2 gal are half as tall as the 3.9.

Yep thats why i like them. Im trying to get the biggest buds using the least amount od media and nutrients. Im trying to get a lower cost overall of the entire grow operation. Lowest costs are what i strive for but immense quality.

That’s a nice looking plant. It looks like it’s about halfway to me. Give or take anyways. I’d say you got at least three more weeks. Others can hopefully chime in with their opinion. But all the opinions in the world won’t make it get finished any sooner. I would say look closer to it again in two weeks. You won’t be able to, and it’s gonna drive you nuts looking at it every day. You won’t hardly see any change. And that’s because you look at them every day. so my suggestion to you is start a journal. Take some pictures introduce yourself to the community. This will give you a place to reference and go back to that I’s yours. post pictures every two or three days and you’ll be able to see the difference in growth. Post your questions there and we will answer them. You can also tag us to your thread. And then we can follow you. You’re off to a good start. :+1:t3::v:t3:

When just the tips are brown you have it dialed in on water and nutes. On the little auto, NO leave it alone, they get the biggest with all their leaves they grow faster than fems or regs, they need all the energy production they can get only defoliate when you get into flower and the big leaves are covering the buds below.

Well, I’ve been a bit quiet about my grow. First grow in a tent…FAIL…
Unfortunately while we were in Kentucky, the plants took a big hit. I tried my best to reset, but no joy! I do have some flower off of five of the eight. We’ll see how it is some of it looked pretty good just very small buds. I got plenty of clones off of most of them and a few off the others.
I have six of the clones in the ground (photos below). I have four more clones that I’m going to put in auto pots in a tent. So we’ll see how that goes!

Tropicana cookies.

Shawty x grandpa‘s cookies

Apple slaps

Shishka, Mary x Tahoe OG

Cherry gelato

How sensitive to light are autos. I was in 12/12 with my feminized when it went into the grow room. After cutting I took it up to 18//6 but now it seems like the size of the flowers have stopped growing in size. It’s been just over a week now.

Honestly I don’t know diddly squat about autos. I have grown them, WAY back in the day 20+ years ago I started growing them to mask my grows, back then they were checking usage patterns with the electric company (the cops) to find electric use that fit the pattern of 18/6 then 12/12 to catch pot growers.

And I just grew one to fill in a pot that was vacant in my tent, knowing that it would finish around the same or before the time my regs were finishing.

I didn’t know you were cloning a auto. An auto finishes because of pre-determined length of life governed by it’s genes. Just like us. They will get larger/or stay smaller based on the amount of light a day they get, the nutes they get, basically the happier they are the bigger and better they do. As far as propagating or cloning autos, I know nothing about that at all. But I do know that there are things that if done to autos, sets them back. Cloning a limb on an auto and then putting it in a pot doesn’t change when it will finish, it changes where it puts it’s energy. In the case of cloning it has to make new roots, so that energy is going to go to making roots and not bud. So smaller bud makes sense.

Maybe some of the auto experts on here will chime in and correct anything I just said or give you some hints and tricks and tips.

Thank’s, i did re-pot it a while back from a 1gal. It has grown a lot since it was moved up, so I figured that wasn’t the cause of the small bids. Also it isn’t a clone. Hopefully someone might have a little insight on it.

It was a necessary trip not a vacation and It sucked. Her dad was still a dick and his wife had cameras all over the house recording everything we said privately… you can figure it out from there!!!

The only thing I know for sure about autos is that they are very finicky. You are not supposed to repot them. The auto I did in the autopots I started in the autopot, put the seed in and never moved it. It did very good. Everyone liked the smoke, very smooth, very tasty, made about 6 oz cured. Not sure on the weight as everyone wanted some almost immediately before it was even cured, smelled like bananas, with a hint of berry fruit. Very hard dense buds, and sticky as all get out.

Jesus! That sounds like pure misery. At least it’s over. Your gonna get plenty from them clones. You are one of the best growers on here.
