Here I grow again

Here’s a quick update.

Here’s the indoor. I set up a 30 gallon water tank with plain well water. It has been two weeks and I haven’t had to do anything. I go in and open the tent a little bit so I can look in every couple of days. I’m really liking the ease of the auto pots. pH the water and add silica to it every two or three weeks is pretty easy. I’m going to start top dressing once a week with organic nutrients. I’m doing the same on my outdoor. it is a little easier because the water is on a timer. I don’t have to fill a barrel :+1:

So what soil did you put in the autopots Hap? Organic with nutes mixed in or a commercial blend with nutes? No problems with the silica in the water dropping out?

Just so you know Prey, I couldn’t find a tent that would fit into the height of my coal room in either of the expensive brands, I did look at the Vivosun and it was a lot cheaper, but I went with the AC Infinity again even though the first one I bought 5+ years ago was a piece of junk. They have really upped their game on their tents. Has a zippered view window on the flap, the fabric is upgraded, and of course they have the slot and bracket for their controllers and a port to run their humidifier in through the side so you don’t have to take up space inside. I still haven’t taken it out of the box yet as I am using the current old one in place to dry my last grow; when that completes I will then put the new one up. They have also upgraded the zipper to SKS. I hope the mylar is also better and more durable. I could have gotten one of the Gorilla’s to fit but it was a real shorty, and the next size up was too tall Secret Jardine didn’t have anything short enough to fit. I think they really upped their game on the tent. It is right in the middle price wise, $249.

No problem with separation in the water. It’s just water with some silica in it, ph’d. I have an air stone in there comes on for five minutes twice a day to keep it aerated and mixed. In the soil, I put a load dose of grow dots. Then I amended heavily with organic fertilizer. The plants seem to be very happy. No complaints. :+1:t3:

You know I have looked at those grow dots several times, they reminded me of the old school beads that they sold a long time ago, that didn’t work worth a shit, so just blew them off. Recently I have seen several people say that they work really well. They are kinda pricy, but if they work and release on time like they are supposed to they would sure make life easy. Do they come with specific instructions as to how long to veg etc.? I saw them the first time on a podcast on you tube.
