Inkfromblood's grow #4

if my roots get to long I dock them back when transplanting based upon research its not an issue for them and they recover quickly based on experience, also better then them getting root bound before they get a chance.

Day 5 - into the rock wool.

Previous grows used jiffy pellets but I had the rock wool around so I’d give it a try.

Definitely got these in there far too late. Tails were pretty damn long.

To be honest, I may need to start over - won’t be surprised if they get all weird at this point.
We’ll see how they go!

Also trying out this mini seedling tray with lights.

Day 6 - not as bad I thought.

Sprouts are sprouting.

Day 7 - into the coco

Potted up. Thought the littlest Runtz x WC was done for but it was ok! A little behind the standard Runtz.

Mother earth coco perlite mix.
Mixed with water and small amount of Clonex seedling nut mix.

Little hint, take those bags off when you transplant. They will cause a root knot, used those one grow, when they were done and harvested, I pulled the stalk and all out of the 25 gal planters, there was a knot of roots where it had a difficult time getting the roots out of that bag. Never used them again. I think Prey had the same experience with them.

Day 8 - looking good

Keeping things moist but not soaked with the Clonex seedling mix.

Really happy to see first leaves from the Runtz x WC!
Thought it was a goner for sure!

Though those are noticably slowe / smaller than the straight Runtz.

Temps lately have been cold and rainy here.
So I turned on the space heater outside the tent to see if I get temps up above the 60 it was sitting at.

Yep they sure seem to be over the hump. If I get em to 8 days they rarely if ever die on me.

Exactly roots bound upa and just try getting them off the roots to recycle plant matter. They do not compost whatsoever! I put them in the garden once. And never again. BUT they kicked ass as a filter for my hydro system! i connect them to the output tube on my chiller it catches all the crap and keeps my pump and chiller cleaner.

Day 9 - more of the same

Slow steady growth. The front Runtz might be stretching out a little. But everything is looking good.

Couple of mine at day 7. These are autos from Fast Buds,

They are in an AutoPot so the bottom watering is not really doing anything, as the roots are too short to get to the water yet. Been watering from the top with Organics alive at 1/2 strength. BAS soil #3 Organic. That other thing in there is a weed that was in the BAS soil.

Low temps mean slow growth.
That said, the stems are looking much stronger in these babies.

A lot can happen in a week!

Potted up these ladies into the 1 gallons.
The Runtz x W.C. are definitely behind the Runtz, and have some funky leaves.
