See this way i can start a lot of plants in a small area! It buys me time while im growing lots of plants. I can keep a seedling in these cups for almost 3 weeks! No wasted soil nutrients or anything.

I use the exact same thing from the dollar .25 store, they work great! I dont like to cut around the edges as dirt comes out and makes a mess, I use a sharp pare of long handled tweezers to make holes all around the bottom works the same! they are awesome

Good grief. Your nutrient as well as power bill must be astronomical.

Which CalMag do you recommend? Grok says that, for soil medium, Botanicare is the most recommended.
I have been using Bloom City, but don’t have anything to compare it to.

Honestly if its from a reputable suppler it shouldn’t matter (ones that test for heavy metals etc) if its in its available salt form. Looked at this
Organics Alive sample pack

Its already in here, are you trying to increase ?

I don’t think I need to increase the amount I currently use at each watering. I was just curious if a different brand was more suited for soil growth.

Cal mag rarely hurts to add a little more as long as you don’t overdue anything, a healthy plant will take what it needs and leave the rest for later. As long as the amounts are not so high as to make the soil unbalanced or toxic.

If I do add Cal Mag I use TPS Nutrients organic Cal Mag, relatively inexpensive for an organic and OAC certified. They sell it on their website direct or on Amazon.

Naa i keep an eye n the power bill and since i built most of the equipment is low cost. And i seriously grow most of my plants with 40 watt leds then over to the expensive light’s to flower. But sometimes i use the flower lights to veg for a short time.

I probably waited longer than I should have, but I put a net in the tent this morning because the AK47 auto (I think that’s what this plant is. The name tag I put in the pot disappeared) seems to have suddenly blown up.

I honestly think it’s because of the new FloraFlex 700 watt light. None of the plants I previously grew acted like this in the flower stage!

It’s not as monsterous as other plants I’ve seen here, but I think it’s big!
It will be interesting to see if I can get even larger plants next time when I use an auto-watering system for the first time, and Organics Alive nutrients.

Thanks!
Do I really need an additional net? I guess I will need one if those stalks become thicker. I guess I will look for a package of disposable trellis netting so I can just cut it away after use. I misplaced the peice of paper I had where I noted the date I flipped the lights, so I don’t have any idea how much longer it has to go. Being an auto, it usually goes to about 80 days, correct?

The other plant in there is a photo, but is really lagging compared to the auto. The fact that it is in a (diy) earthbox may also be a significant factor.
