Ok. Tomorrow morning I will take it outside and flush it thoroughly with hose water. Filtering 10+ gallons of RO water using the small filter set I have would take hours.
I will also raise the lights a little bit. Luckily, the Goji isn’t in a similar condition.
*** Sould I trim off as many of the dead leaves as possible while it’s outside being flushed? ***
I would for sure
This morning I took the Slapz outside and ran hose water through it for nearly 15 minutes. I trimmed off as much of the dead foliage as possible.
It is back in the tent now. I also raised the lights another five inches or so.
Should I only feed it with RO water + CalMag for the next week? What about the next two weeks?
Just so I know and can keep it as a reference, what should the measurements be in each stage when using soil, coir, and hydroponic:
Seedling - ppm & pH
Veg - ppm & pH
Flower - ppm & pH
Tap would work some cal mag maybe and set ph to desired then go. U wanna make sure u get the ph out to be in a safe number and the plant will corecr itself with time
Hopefully you know the pH of your tap water the whole point of the flush is to flush it with the correct pH so your pH will get back on point if you’re flushing it without the correct pH you just set the pH to whatever your water comes out at when you grow cannabis parameters need to be kept or it will not come out very well now that it’s flushed you will need to get back on your regular feed otherwise you will be starving the plant
This morning before lights went off I gave it a gallon of water containing only CalMag and Stresscoat (removes chloramine). I use Bloomcity’s pH Up to raise the pH, and I raised it to 7.2. Is that where it should be?
Tonight when lights come on, I will give it 1/2 gallon of water adding back in 1/3 of the recommended dakine420 nutrients.
Well, checked the plants this morning. The Slapz still looks like crap and I doubt it will survive.
And now, the Goji is turning to CRAP. These are this morning’s photos of it. All these months have done mothing but wasting money on electricity and water and nutrients. All a complete waste.
Well i dont think it was a waste because you learned a lot of things. Growing cannabis is rewarding and it can be difficult. I have troubles also last month i chopped down 5 plants. I had timer malfunctions and did the same thing you did. Wasted soil, bags, seeds, nutrients and electricity. i mean its shitty either way but you just have to keep learning and get better at it. Im sorry your having such a difficult time growing. I wish i was closer so i could help more. Hang in there man!
I hate wasting anything, but being utterly broke and facing everything else turning to crap, makes this so much worse. It all seems to have been a waste of time, money and effort. I don’t have any way at all of replacing, replenishing, or re-doing this stuff. It would be nice for just ONE thing, one simple thing, to work out and go correctly.
So sorry to hear and see this man. But like @PreyBird1 said you are learning a ton. From where Im sitting it certainly looks like you’ll never have these problems again. Growing indoors during the summer is tough if you dont have a way to control the ambient environment. Everything from heat to humidity has to be managed for good results. I grow in tents and use air-conditioning and de-humidifer to control mine. Its still cheaper and quality is better than going to the dispensaries.
Like most everybody here, we’ve all gone through some or all of what you’ve experienced.
But don’t throw in the towel, you can’t put a dollar value on the experience you have now…negative or positive.
Smoke big fatty, start some new beans and forget about it.
They’re still going to produce some buds the leaves just look like s*** the leaves will never start to look better once they’re burnt and messed up that’s just how they stay unless you trim them off and as far as the growing I would say do a lot of reading and researching everything’s got to be in its correct range to grow properly it is a weed but it will grow like a weed unless it has proper nutrients lighting on ph d did you ever figure out the pH of your soil or the ppm that is a very important part of soil growing you need to learn about slurry testing testing ph and runoff most every watering if you’re in soil the way you know where your numbers are and how to feed accordingly unless it’s a good feed program and soil you will need to adjust up and down to keep your pH in check along with the ppms may even needed just water day in there to help bring down those numbers lots of different variables to be learned
The more plants I try to grow, the worse it goes. I have watched so many different videos covering types of soil to use, amendments that will provide fantastic results, nutrients that are supposedly superior, etc. and I buy them. The guy of Build-a-soil swears by the amendments I got, and dakine420 nutrients are supposed to be incredible so I spend a lot of money on those. I buy the jugs of CalMag. I measure the pH for Every.Single.Gallon of freakin feed water. I buy an RO water filter because everyone says to use RO water. I baby these plants ridiculously more than any super hot peppers I have EVER grown, and those are not easy to grow.
And then all of a sudden, during flower phase, the plants just turn to crap. Nothing can be done to reverse it. They just turn to garbage and all I see is months of work + a stupid amount of money I certainly do not have = down the toilet.
Check dm in a few mins sending u a message
I feel ya bro!!! So many variables, so much information to digest, so much great advice from great growers here, it can make your head spin.
@Mark0427, @jj520 will get you there …as well as alot of others here. Because I’ve been here and done this (manyatime!) I just wanted to give you some encouragement because when and after you figure this out…you are definitely gonna grow some fire with all that your’e doing right!!
Pulling for ya
Hey happens to us all lost 4 plants to the heat this grow don’t give up .
Next time you need nutrients check out Jack’s or master blend very affordable and very good. I run both depending on what stage my plants are in you don’t need to spend a lot on nuets to get quality
Definitely not a wast of time Dispo weed is expensive at least hear like 260 an oz for top shelf with jacks I can run for 5 years literally on $260 or way less 2 -25# bags/1of 5-12-26 part A 1of calcium nitrate 15-0-0 part B
4 grams part a/2 grams part B per gallon is a great mix for veg/flower
The only means I have of checking soil pH is with one of the basic pH/light/moisture level meters that you stick into the soil.
This is the reading from the Goji. Is this where it should be? Or are these types of meters extremely inaccurate?
The Slapz reading is the bottom one.
Those are no good for reading anything really you need to do a slurry test Google search soil slurry test and it will tell you how to do a slurry test for ppms and pH it’s very easy
Mix some soil from a little ways down in the pot 50/50 with RO water and a cup you don’t need a whole lot maybe an inch of each and then mix them around let it sit for a few minutes and then read the water slurry mix with your meters that will give you the ph and the ppms of your soil
I have a ton of seeds that I’ll probably never get to or I’ve already grown. I have a pretty good collection, if you’re ever in need shoot me a dm.
