Maur was a victim of the drug wars, arrested at the age of 14, charged and sentenced as an adult. Cunthia is an experienced educator and businesswoman with a masters degree in educational leadership. Montel speaks with Dr Alison Draisin on this episode of Let’s Be Blunt. She is the Lead Psychotherapist and Director of Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy Provider Training at the AIMS Institute. Montel talks with Robert Hoban on this episode of Let’s be Blunt. Robert was recently named a “Cannabis Law Trailblazer” by the National Law Journal and has been consistently recognized as one of “Denver’s Top Cannabis Lawyers” for nearly a decade. It was his mother’s struggle with pancreatic cancer in 2006 that turned Hoban’s focus to the cannabis industry. From 2010-2016 he served as one of the Nation’s first cannabis policy instructors at the University of Denver, where he regularly lectured regarding cannabis topics, and led a University- sanctioned research practicum concerning the efficacy of marijuana regulation. Given this academic background, he has been asked to work with the governments of more than thirty countries on crafting commercial cannabis public policy. EVERYTHING HEMP | CHRIS BOUCHER

On this episode of Let’s Be Blunt, Montel talks with Chris Boucher. Chris began growing hemp in the early 1990s in China, Poland, Hungary, and Romania. In 1991, he founded The Hempstead Company, one of the first hemp clothing and seed businesses to open in the US since the 1930s. The company sold products to more than 4,000 stores in 10 countries. In 1992, he co-founded The True Hemp Industry Association, now known as the Hemp Industries Association. Then in 1994, he became the first person in modern times permitted to legally grow a hemp crop in the US, at the USDA Research Center in Brawley, California. In 2014, he established a large, sustainable hemp farm in California to support his educational, commercial, and advocacy activities and now today, he is CEO of Farmtiva, Inc. which breeds and sells CBD fiber and grain seeds and co-founder of Juicetiva Hemp CBDA Powder.

On this episode of Let’s Be Blunt, Montel chats with Dr Peter Grinspoon on location at NECANN in Boston. Dr Grinspoon is a primary care doctor at Massachusetts General Hospital, an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and has been a cannabis specialist for twenty-five years. His latest book, “Seeing Through the Smoke: Cannabis: An Expert Doctor Untangles the Truth About Cannabis” will be out in April 2023. His father, Dr Lester Grinspoon, is considered the grandfather of medical cannabis as an early advocate when his younger brother Danny, who suffred from Leukemia, utilized cannabis to help keep food down while undergoing cancer treatment.

HOLISTIC SOLUTIONS | SUZAN NICKELSON

Montel chats with Suzan Nickelson on this episode of Let’s Be Blunt. Suzan is a graduate of Rutgers University and recently made history as the first black woman to be awarded a cannabis license in the state of New Jersey.
