Pleased to meet you and welcome @deannagrinnel That’s a great feeling to have the fur babies back hm !! When I was younger I had a cat that ran away and found him almost a yr later in a barn down the street lol. Took a bit to get him adjusted again, but it was great to have him home;)

It’s really sad for those he left behind, but I am sure Achilles had a wonderful, happy life and he was loved and well taken care of.

Its the love for something greater than yourself most people can’t feel that type of compassion they just think of money and material objects can’t realize the bigger picture… Just caught up what they can see… Hypnotic trance implemented over generations to the masses only a few that’s “fucked up” done drugs and expanded our minds out side the box and didn’t give in to the reality they wanted for us know what I’m talking about… First radio now TV and smartphones and internet… I refuse to be in the rat race like most… Probably why I only have a few true friends and not 500 followers on Facebook LoL fuck I don’t Even have a Facebook never appealed my interest

Brody and Mason were boxer chocolate lab mix only 2 years old both slept in my bed beside me… I lived in the Forrest 10 years ago… Lake arrow head … My cabin backed the national Forrest… But a pack of coyotes came up to my house Brody and Mason went after them and we’re out numbered by the time I got to them it was to late I got 3 of the bastards I’ve never cried so hard in my life … Best companions ever boxer breads… to feel that respect and love from a rescue is special… Watch the movie alpha brother it puts it in perspective

Well today was the end of my best Era in my life. Had to put my boy down due to a tic borne disease, billary. Partner in crime, brother, my shadow. Era going to be hugely missed on our farm.

Sorry for your loss @chrisj… I still miss my lab mix… only good thing is my hound is now 100% off leash and just loves walks and rides even if we don’t do anything…she’s getting up there too now so sadness will happen again…
