What are the challenges with mold, mildew, and fungus at the growers level? A technology exists which transforms ordinary tap water into a solution 50% more powerful than bleach; is 100% safe; kills bacteria, virus, mold, mildew, fungus and protozoans. 4500 volts of electricity affects the transition as lighting transforms water into Ozone; earths natural sanitizer and cleaner. This technology is residue free and referred to as Stabilized Aqueous Ozone (SAO). SAO reverts back into ordinary tap water in 24 hours. I am interested in the value of this technonlogy and whether it will be of value to the industry. Beyond the growers, SAO is a sanitizer and cleaner and may be used to sanitize and clean the facility: glass; grout; floors; benches; tile; fabric and is an FDA registered food wash used in kitchens. I am interested in the value of this potential and whether we can be an asset. Thank you.
Ozone is definitely not safe for humans. It is highly reactive and will damage you lungs and skin.
Thanks why it is a good disinfectant. It canbe made with electric discharge or or UVC light. We are making equipment that is sealed nd feed 97% pure O2. Don’t want to use electric discharge with pure O2. Kaboom.
How is the technology implemented? As @Robogrow alluded to, direct contact with ozone is hazardous to human health, as it produces free radicals in our bodies. It can be used to the same effect for microorganisms though, so how do you keep people safe?
We are contining O2 then ozone in seled tube leading to pre-tretment reservoir water with a gas trap. Ozone breaks down in water. Leaving dissolved o2 and free radical O. Ozone half life is 20 minutes at 20 C. Can use diffuser, pump blades or side stream venturi injection.
Here’s the difference and why I believe it is a no brainer. What’s being said about ‘Ozone’ gas is true. It is ‘highly’ oxidative. However, that isn’t what I am referencing. What I am suggesting is Stabilized Aqueous Ozone (SAO). This lasts for 24 hours before reverting back into ordinary tap water. In the meantime it can be used for sanitation and cleaning. We use is in elder care, Padres Club House, it is a food grade sanitizer, yet will clean grout, glass, fabric, porcelain. However, as a food grade sanitizer it kills molds, and mildews that shorten the life of the fruit. This is 100% safe to use in ANY venue without contraindication. It is not harmful but potentially very useful. As a vegetable wash I wonder where in the growing process this technology might be optimized. There forward, labs, packaging, hygiene etc. it’s value is well documented. You can see a video on our landing page at: www.cdcs.us I’ll be interested in your feedback once you understand the technology better. Thanks.
Hi Hunter,
I wanted to respond to you directly in case you didn’t catch my response above. Stabilized Aqueous Ozone (SAO) is basically rain. It does kill molds, mildews, fungus, bacteria, and virus. Please visit our MEDICAL website to view the video on our landing page. There are no residues or harmful effects at all. Same consistency as water. This is an EPA Registered food wash. In fact, you may water your crops with it. 100% safe. Robogrow is referencing Ozone Gas. This is not that at all. Let me know if you have further questions. We are seeking a high end specialist to run their panel assay to determine if there is a place of benefit for the industry at the grower level. Thanks Art
No ‘kaboom’ considerations with SAO. I think it has a tremendous value for growers. Would like to have the upper quandreant of the industry to do a panel assay on it.
