Mud's Perpetual Grow

@anon83649042 his system is auto water. Also @bullfrog420 has a drip system set up. Im just not a fan of auto watering because i feel for me i gives way to laziness. And thats when bugs get my grows. I hate mixing nutrients. But i wont mix and store nutrients either. I make mine fresh everyday. And i hand water and check my plants. If i dont do this ill miss something in my plants. I inspect them as i water and pluck leaves, yoyo the branches up and remove dead undergrowth and leaves.

Gotta think a gravity fed, DTW is gonna be the easiest and cheapest. Only bitch i can think of, will be filling the elevated rez. But I guess you could, use a little pond pump on a timer as a “lift pump”, also function as a dosing timer. and Jacks is like .05c per feed so waste is minimal for straight un-supped, no Microbe feeds.

I use a circulated-rez, on a bottom feed system and my 8 gallon rez drifts from 5.7 to 6.1 in about 5 days, then I readjust and top up.

You only get a 5.7-6.1 ph change in 5 days? Just the natural evaporating water from your veg and also the daily feeding should deffinately alter your ph of your rez. I check my ph everyday before I feed. I keep some seeious lab hournals to record stuff like this.

I have done all types of auto feed systems. I prefer to hand water or wand water by top feed, but I will sometimes do a top fed stake style drip system, or even a ebb n flow or fill n drain ststem so i can leave my farm for a couple days if need be. I also make my rez fresh daily, or Im tooping the rez from the day before iff with fresh, ph, then feed. Good times.

With good nutrients you can easily hold your pH in one spot for three days maybe four before drifts a little bit. Use air bubblers to mix only do not use the air bubbler to keep your tank mixed. This will cause your pH to climb. I run a 80 gallon per hour pump for about a half hour every couple hours to keep the solution mixed. Right now I’m doing just over 15 gallons a week and I rarely pH it.

Yes sir, I check my Ph and PPMs everyday. But I do not adjust unless its a big swing or rez level, my thinking is look at those charts everyone passes around… The range at which uptake on various nutes in varying amounts , so why not embrace and utilize the natural swing range…right? Am I off on my thinking?

I run multiple grows with multiple rez ranging from 30 gal up to 200 gal. All my rez have strong pumps to circulate and keep my rez mix a constant stir. The stronger the circulatory the better. As for nutrients, ive ran all types over the last 22 years from advance to gh to biobiz to dutch to atomi……the list goes on. I even went ocd when I wasni. Horticukture school years ago and nade my own rez by the individual salts, not a presone chemical like mycro. I added my nitrogen, my mag, etc, individual for my own custom design mix. The one thing all of my rez in all the different states and different countries have in common….the ph will adjust and the ntriemnts being top quality will not change the ph fluctuation from even daily evaporatiin. Unless you keep your rooms super humid. Plus add that if your feeding your plants and the rez does not change in ph, id be concerned. Even if top feeding, the lower rez shoukd change in oh from evaporation or from adding fresh water to too off your rez. No worries tho, I know each of us have our own thoughts and styles so Im not knocking anything, just sharing. It woukd be cool if I could keep my rez from fluctuating hahahahaha cuz i keep breaking my ph pens. Hahahaha

I will do that a little. As in…with rockwool I keep a ph steady at 6.0 however at different ages of the plants life i mite want to have a higher amount of mag or calcium, then I mite adjust the ph a little higher, or lower for less based on the charts levels, and I do love the basic ph chart to follow that shows us the available nutrient at what ph level.

I am doing water to waste. Any time I’ve ever used feeding systems such as recirculating system or pumping my top water back into the tank after run off It increases my pH rapidly. I have found that if I do not over agitate or add carbon dioxide to the nutrient solution with a bubbler it will hold pH between 5.8 and 6.8.

When I collect the runoff and check the pH it is in the mid sevens. If I add that back to my tank my pH climbs rather quickly. If I take it out and dumping on some dirt plants it’s not wasted and it doesn’t mess up my pH. My ppm also increases by a couple of hundred. I don’t know the science behind it all but I know I have beautiful plants that smoke really good, and that’s all I need.

Thank you for all the info. I gave it all a quick read, but plan on going back for a better read through when I have some down time.

Been keeping this one out of the spotlight lately because I was having problems with her. Between her sudden ramp up in nutrient demands and my tendency to fall behind when I’m struggling with anxiety, she had gotten downright ugly. But she’s coming back around and surprisingly enough she looks like she’s going to be nice and dense.

She’s not looking bad man. I hope you’re anxiety is doing better… Mi also suffer from anxiety and sometimes my plants pay it. But they know you love them from! Feel better bro

Checked trichomes on the Kong Breath earlier and ended up snipping a couple tester nugs. She’s looking like she’s pretty much done. :metal:

Also ordered bags for the LOL auto f3 seed run. Those will get started SOON. :metal::grin::metal:

I’m holding myself back from chopping the white caviar. She looks like she’s has stopped growing… Probably because of her deficiency… But she’s smelling beautiful… Im giving her 2 more weeks tops… And I’m chopping lol

Dammit, man! Was giving the plants their nightly inspection last night and found a nasty surprise. Mold in the main top of the Sour Apple. :weary::man_facepalming: I cut out everything I could find and good portions of the surrounding flower. I was really looking forward to this one and needed the harvest to keep us supplied so I’ll see if I can save it.

I’m sorry brother. That really sucks.

Fingers crossed you got everything.
