My $150 DWRC system

Intresting idea! Food for thought. Geeze another rabbit hole. I already got parts coming in. I spent 2 days finding the lowest cost bulkheads but still good quality. Ive been watching a few videos on a rwdc stirraponic systems.

Damn having issues. I did a full system and resivoir
nutrients change today because it is day 7. Im seeing what looks like a calmag deficiency. It started within 48 hours. I just got a nother humidifier for tomorrow. I ended up using 13 gallons. The ph of the R/O water was so low in the beginning this time and it was 4.56. I had to raise the ph a lot. Then i could not keep the ppms under 1000. I need to be 800-900 ppms. I used more calmag this nutrient swap and added the 13th gallon the bring the ppms down. And that gallon ph’d at 6.2 and 18ppms. So look at the pics and @Slym3r and anyone else who could help me figure out what im doing wrong?

ppms
I added the 13th gallon and got this.

This Goji crasher isnt happy. Ill show the plant then the roots. Of each bucket and plant.

I check the ec every 2 days. Your plants have been lightning fast. Id imagine you want more nute.

I wanna see your feed chart.

Typically they have eaten .2 each day around week 3.

How are you at 800 already?

To me though, they need more. Your doing supremely well. 7 days and your almost ready to flip.

I always have to chase numbers doing DWC. For me personally constantly climbing in veg and constantly tanking in flour. I was having to adjust my pH almost every day in flower. you will find when they start drinking massive amounts of water every day that you will have drastic number swings. When they get big a lot of times they devour a lot more water than nutrients. This really causes your numbers to climb. A suggestion I would make would be to Keep an eye on your water level when you’re checking your numbers.

I also stopped changing my nutrients every week. I found it a lot easier to keep the system balanced. I was running the same solution all the way through veg. The week before I flip to flower I start adding a little flour nutrients and then change up my Nutrients a week after flip. For me it saved a lot of money on nutrients and the plants just seem to be happier.

Also remember when you change your pH you’re changing your ppm. A lot. So when you’re chasing nutrient numbers, remember you’re adding to those numbers every time you adjust your pH.

That’s all the experience this coming to mind at the moment.

The best piece of advice I can give you, is don’t chase the numbers too much. You are a master grower, you look at your plants and you know what they need. This is not changed. The only thing that has changed is how fast you can make a correction when needed. you can change everything that your plants are growing in at any time in about an hour or less.

Looking good…:+1:t3::+1:t3::v:t3:

Just for kicks and giggles. Take a glass of ro water, check your pH and your ppm. Lower your pH down to three or four and check your ppm, then raise it up to an eight and check your ppm. This will show you just how much adjusting your ppm changes your nutrient number.
