My problem is demand. I get 2.5 gallons every half an hour. And i need 15 gallons just to get my 8 site system up to half full.
I have a 30 gallon Barrel next to my house. I have my RO system hooked up to a outside Spicket. Turn it on in the afternoon and turn it off the next morning and the barrel is just about full. It works great for me. I have a lift pump that I just drop in the 30 gallon tank, run a hose from that into the grow room and I’m Good. If I’m using or intending to use a lot of water I just put another 30 gallon barrel outside the grow room and fill it and then just let the RO run for another day and then I have 60 gallons.
See i have 4x 55 gallon drums on hand. I get them super cheap From Pepsi-cola company. At like $15 each. I also have 4x 15 gallon barrels and i plan on filling them and using them for draining and cleaning the systems. I was originally going to use the 15 gallon barrel as the buckets epicenter resivoirs but theres no acces unless i cut the tops open and bulkheads dont work on curved surfaces. So i got a bunch of barrels to use on things. I want to do an aquaponic set up outside for the summer.
Oooops I just saw this. Water temps… Was that 58f on your meter what the plants are getting?
Whew!
Ok that was me. I saw the one pic and just had to ask. Thanks @MrMonkey420
Looking fantastic
They looking awesome @PreyBird1
Getting rhe hang of this aye?
Yeah its getting easier now. Last night i added 3 gallons of feed and 2 gallons of just R/O the plants drank a lot. After i had ro bring the ph and the ppms up. The ppms had dropped off to 756 and ph was low at 5.35 so i just added food and tiny bit of ph up and left the numbers where they showed and i will recheck tonight. Im also on a 24hr light schedule surprise!
Ive been running 24 hours too man.
One of the problems I had was temp lockout. I keep my room cold and was having problems with various deficiencies and it finally dawned on me that might be the problem. I use a cheap Vivosun aquarium heater and it really did fix everything. A consistent 70 degrees has made a big difference.
Well had an issue where i wasnt getting water flowing from the pump. I could hear it and feel it pumping but zero flow?
Damn root clump clogged the pump up. Gross!
