My Summer's Grow

Yes - I have a current grow that will finish around the time that I can put some plants outside - I try to close down the tents for 2-3 months.
I am hoping I can also manage about 15 more seeds - I have alot of strains I want to try…

Sweet they should get huge, I pretty much do the same. I usually start mine mid April. Do you use a greenhouse?

I have a small portable greenhouse that I usually harden plants off in or if the weather doesn’t warm as usual - I had been starting my seeds end of march and putting them out early May here in NE - This year my tents are occupied with my current grow which I started later than normal so I don’t have the ability to take on too many plants - I can fir these clones in a light box and keep small till time to go outside.

Cool I’ll be watching if your posting pics. I’m in Mich. I have a self made greenhouse with a couple portable ones, because of the late fall nights of high humidity pretty much ruins my plants with rot. I Run a couple large dehumidifiers for the last 5 to 6 weeks.

Ive never heard of doing a 36 hr dark period to transition to flower? Interesting now i have to try that out!

@preybird1
Jake was the sales VP for Grow More nutrients -one of the biggest agro nute companies around - he was very knowledgeable about growing in general but also Cannabis specifically -
I created a playlist that if you wanted to listen there are several videos that he spoke - I recommend giving them a listen - I like to put my earbuds on and my iphone in pocket and take my puppy for walks and listen and learn -

I think he talked about the dark in a couple of these especially the longer ones haha
but they are all good.
I use some of their products like Avalanche and their honey and enzymes - They seem to have dropped out of the marijuana industry but they could have been a leader if they kept modernizing and specializing their formulas
I already got pistils after one day coming out of the dark on all the girls

Nice im definatly gonna do that next flip. Its very interesting

@PreyBird1 - I have been tweaking this technique and found a real winner this last run - I gave the girls a bloom microbe tea with a little extra PK just before lights out - I think that is a big reason why I got pistils in one day after lights on - I hope it works as well for you too…

Thats interesting. I have been adding more roots organic hp2 a few days before and i still use roots organic surge then i flip but i still use the veg nutrients. I flip and after i get skittle sized buds forming i add the bloom nutrient and the veg nutrient and then over 3-5 days i come off the grow nutrients and stay with the flower nutrients only. Works like it should this way because its more subtle and better transition. lots of folks change the light schedule and there like oh im flowering i need to switch to the flower nutrients.

I like to introduce a little PK in Banana water - it makes a great additive and is very available so when I give the bloom tea they get all the good stuff to munch on - and I do like you introducing bloom nute in conjunction with veg nutes for the first week after putting them in the dark - I have seen lots of people cut their veg nutes too early and their plants crave the nitrogen that is missing - especially after using BBP - they get really hungry

Lights were out for 36 hours
Here is last night at Lights out

I transplanted the last clone that was in the plug - another Lovin in her eyes Spanish Moon - I now have 3 Spanish Moons - 2 will be grown outside - very appropriate for my beautiful aunt’s honor plant - she is the straggly one in the front right in the picture - After a couple of days she will green up and look like her gorgeous sisters.

One of my little auto seedlings damped off - I really do not have the room for them as the tents are too full and getting fuller - I thought I could squeeze them in but - I think its not gonna work as I wanted. - I will see how things develop - I have a hard time killing a growing living thing

In the small tent I have put up the second net - The stragglers are catching up but I will NEVER have an even canopy - I am vegging for another 8 days then in the dark for 36 hours and flip.

thanks for looking - have a great start of the weekend.

This morning (I take one in the morning in the light and one at night in the dark - I am charting the stretch.

I like to do a video of the girls in flower once a week - I got into this habit when I was testing and reviewing my big lights for the manufacturer. It gives me something to look at when nothing is going on in my gardens (which is not often haha)

I am very happy with every aspect of this grow - I love learning and doingnew things and when experiments work out to discover better ways to tend my gardens…
Thank you for looking and have a GREAT Sunday and EVERY DAY!’

Here is a pano view of the Bethany Airport one of the places I take my puppy to every morning - rain or shine

Happy vernal equinox it might be hard to see but on the right is the moon and on the left is the sun. Wishing you a great day, every DAY!

I cut the other coco mat and it fits perfectly in the long tote and all 9 of the clones that are from my current grow fit (for now anyway  ) They are under a 32w led with enhanced red and blue - I may add another light if they aren’t getting the intensity they need but I put up reflector material and it seems to be good coverage.

I have a feeling that I will be taking lots of clones this summer

I will probably have another 30-35 plants outdoors

I think my cloning days have just begun

  • this seems like real trouble haha -oy-to

Thank you

don’t tell my wife, although I thought it was the most beautiful sight in the world she didn’t appreciate the forest of cannabis plants that I had in the middle of our yard last year especially as many got to be 9+ ft tall so I had to promise her to be more conscious of aesthtics which is a challenge -

Oh it’s definitely a beautiful sight, just pull them down a little :rofl::rofl:

Aesthetics are in the eye of the beholder…

Chief do you hear that ice crackin below your feet?!!

Honestly, I do feel that cannabis is a beautiful ornamental and would be complementary to many landscapes , of course not sure the wife or neighbors would agree!

Luckily the neighbors are far enough away that they’re not a problem. I think my wife would appreciate the beauty if I did a little better job placement.

So that’s what I’m going to try and figure out. But I agree with you I think it’s one of the most beautiful plants and flowers that exist
