I am tying her down. I should have been running the side lights since I dropped it in this setup. I didn’t realize the EVO 6 light was as powerful as it is.I should have started using the sidelights as soon as I had to lower the intensity of the light when it looked like the plant appeared to be being bleached by it.

How far above is the light. If u use led also if u don’t add calmag to the waters and feeds a bit as the LEDs seem to run calmag def if not enough my scorp diablo is the same way lol. Can’t go past the 7 or 8 clicks and gotta stay about 28 inches away or they burn.

I’ve been running the light at 24 inches because I was concerned about the intensity of the light causing what looked like to much intensity even after lowering the light intensity. I am using Dakine420 Cal-mag at 1 gram per gallon.

Lessons learned so far from this grow.
- Use side lighting within 2 weeks or sooner in this setup, (Set the side light intensity a little higher that the overhead light).
- Use plant benders at an early time on the branches in this setup.
- Use Cal-mag full strength from the start in this setup.
- Pay attention to what the plant is trying to tell you.
- If you are a heavy tobacco user, wash your hands with anti bacterial soap before you touch your plants, and rewash your hands before touching any other plants. (Prevents TMV).
- Probably test your setup by growing a tomato plant in it before using a cannabis plant.

@nacho151 your side lighting , are you running a full spectrum or targeted uv, I’ve used full spectrum before and was curious on the targeted spectrum setups debating on upgrading side lighting, I didn’t put them in the tent this round in chance of upgrade or if anyone else has any thoughts?

I think it helped me for all the lower buds.
But i had all of them on a stand that I made bunched apart with the PAR around 550 . I just turned my plant around one side every day . To give each side maximum light for the day. I also only have the eleven inch supplemental lighting bars from AC INFINITY

I’ve been using side lights since my second grow, my plants have looked better and my yields got bigger. I went from packing tents with plants down to 1 plant per tent and the results have been great. The side light are full spectrum, I plan on using UVB lights the last few weeks of this grow because I want to see what happens and I plan on pressing 70% of this harvest into rosin. Everything I’ve been told about UVB is it increases terpenes and rosin production.

11 days I think. I just did another defoliation and now just waiting until tomorrow to see how it recovers.UPDATE She has grew 12 inches taller since Flipping to flower.

This is a picture from one of my 1st grow using sidelights. It helped my grows a lot. I went from 3 or 4 oz per plant to 18 to 21 oz per plant then I started using Bud Buster pro and started getting giant buds and no nutrient issues.

Yeah my hydro went wayyyy out control! My lesson learned They must be trellised! They must be reined in! They got so Big the buds got so Fat they all fell over. They need a trelis for the support also. If your going to grow hydro get ready for some crazy Growth!

It’s already shown how fast the growth is. I’m shocked how fast they recover after defoliation. I might try a portable scrog for my next grow. I have a portable tomato cage and took it out so I could work on the plant, I have mounted the bucket itself on a plant caddy so I can move it around to work on. I’m thinking that I might be able to make an adjustable cage to mount on the plant caddy to make it easier for me to work on and remove the dying foliage. Basically I’m happy that the plant has survived this attempt. My 1st attempt at hydro didn’t go well at all and after several weeks I gave up and slapped them into soil to finish them out. Luckily I found this forum and have grown some great plants since hanging out here and learning a lot of good information!

I enjoy watching people improve their skills and learning. I do a lot of experimenting now and I like playing with gadgets. I don’t really think questions asked are stupid myself, but if not asked the problem may not be solved. I’m retired and having fun and growing and this forum keep me and my brain engaged! Lol! I think that not sharing knowledge is a waste.

Man i couldnt grow for years and years. Due to being in a apartment rental. I use to be driving around with my wife on a day off and i say to my wife as we passed a large farm house with a huge garage. I say “man if i had that house or that property i would grow weed” I bought this property 8yrs ago and have been growing since. And ill be driving around with my wife and see a big place and i say the same thing and my wife says you have a place to grow now! But i wany a bigger property and bigger grow op building way farther back on the property from the house so theres no way you can even get back there to be snooping around a hidden grow. 5 acres is what im after. And @nacho151 and @greyalien44 this is what separates real growers from wannabe Growers. If you really love growing you have a deep passion for it. You will learn and keep doing it, still doing it, always have been doing it… see back in the 90’s i couldnt grow anywhere but my friends house. I grew up mormon and i rebelled so no way i could grow so It technically wasnt mine. All the plants were mine and the lights were me and my friends we stole them off the church building. It always bugged me that it wasnt my grow. And then my friend took a bunch my weed i called wheelchair Bud because you were way to high to function to newyork and was all trying to say he grew it. The lame fucktard didnt do shit! No transplanting or up potting help. He just had the house we could grow at and he was stupid enough to do what i told him to do. Man i talked him into climbing up on this really tall wall and stealing a big ass light. I didnt want to cut the power wires while the light was on! but we could only get it at night so i borrowed my dads side cutters and handed them to my friend. So he cut those wires live power and all and holy shit there was some serious spark i was instantly blinded by the arc of the flash. Then he had to rip it off the the church roof overhang. It was nailed to a 2x4 with like 20 nails in it so after i was instantly blinded i heard this wreched schreeching/squeaking yanking sounds. He jumped down with the light andThen we ran down the street and i couldnt see shit for like a block. Then we ran to my friends garage with the light. It was early 98’ then and we were little skater punk kids lol. Not proud of stealing the lights but i was a stupid kid.
