Awesome man your plants are looking really good…!
Thank you! I’m trying out new ways to grow!
Totally agree, I’ve had bubble buckets plants just fall over , come home to hydroton all over the floor and the plant laying on its side
@bigj I call that the “Clever Girl Syndrome”. I use a fairly rigid trellis on the first level and a few of my plants have actually started lifting themselves out of my DWC bucket. With some of the genetics out there I swear some of them are born looking for a fight.
You could train that thing into a hedge. That thing is super happy. Nice job!
Im waiting on 6 ayuhuaska purple i ordered but am getting 5 blueberry for free so its in my cards. Most likely i will have 1 or 2 with the purples next grow starting in a couple weeks.
You will love the Blueberry, it’s a heavy indica, so I only use it at night.
Even here in south alabama 60’ then 50’s for highs but 30’s at night. First freeze night after Halloween. Hell first frost too lol. It dont get very cold and stay here but plenty cold outdoors to where you still lose shit. A lot of peoples house water pipes freeze here a few times yearly because southerners know its going to happen but figure running water will keep it from problems but a couple times yearly every year thats not the case people forget or think its over etc… Then all their stuff has problems. People have frozen above ground water pumps that crack or dont have antifreeze in their cars and without antifreeze i have saw many car blocks crack in the teens. Even though its not always or for only a few times yearly its very costly so you would think after so many years and times it has happened people would spend the extra money to have their stuff right.
When i have lived in ohio though we still had bad pipes bursting here and there. Heated and runnin or electric shuts down town without having generators etc. Have used those big kerosene space heaters several times over years.
Where I live at it will get down below 0 degrees and stay that way for a month. It really sucks here in January and February.
Yield that much in hydro or soil? Also how much light?
Today’s project.
UPDATE This should work for this grow. Waiting on an item for the permanent solution.
Thats what it did in northeast ohio where i was
In soil (Fox Farm Ocean Forest) I get a yield between 18 to 21 oz per plant on the Blueberry in a tent by itself. As far as hydro this is my 1st attempt, so I don’t know yet. If you enlarge the 1st Day 64 picture you will see a lot of buds forming all over it. I keep the light at 30% during seedling stage for 2 weeks, then go 50% for veg stage until flip, then run at 80% for a week or 2, then 100% until harvest.
Might b the best use of a tomato cage ive ever seen.
It’s a pain, but it works. I’m waiting on some stuff to build one that mounts to my plant caddy and if I want I could add a 2x2 scrog net to it and still move the whole setup around to work on the plant. I laugh and call it wheelchair gardening.
I have to me mindful you are hydro, and have water lines. I move my girls in veg, so no one gets the “lazy MFer don’t wanna work in the corner” affect more than another.
Thinking about getting some moving dolleys at harber freight. The tomatoe cage could easily be fixed to one. Mayve cut off one leg so the pot could be pulled out for next season.
I for real juat screen shot’d this an emailed mom.
“Momma u been doing it wrong with ur tomatoe cages”.
I wish I had used 4"x6" wire, but I had this in the garage, a larger grid would be easier to get my hands through to work the center. Hopefully I’ll have my prototype assembled by Monday.
Wheels on the bus go round and round. Ha. What size do u envision? The idea of bucket truck on casters with an integrated hard scrog DIY sounds pretty dope. Like a lo tek victory, that dont need a brand name.
