nice question @chefjonnyg… I have a male I am holding outside the fence waiting to figure the plan out… and my 15 girls are on the other side so I have a day or 2…lol…but this answer might have me put it in my tent for now…

Thats hard to say it needs to be in a dark cool place out of light. Maybe a couple months if the pollen is just laying around surfaces. Every day it degrades much faster especially under light of any type. Usually its most viable in the first 2 weeks. And if your using it do it within 3 months for best results. And since this is my 1st big run of just seeds im testing when is the best time to pollinate the buds when there smaller or bigger To get the most seeds and when the seeds are the ripest and when its too early.
Here is my new strain and a test seed like i just said. I wanted to see how far along the really nice strains were in seeding.

Well so far i notice the seed pods will swell up and as they ripen the pods will yellow and then slightly reddish and then the seed pod will dry and pull down and away from the seed. At this point though the slightest brush against the seed or bumped slightly it will drop off somewhere in the tent. So im always looking to pull these quick so dont mix them up. I keep tiny jars right at the tent to add seeds to.
These if left another week the skin will darken. The stripped color of the seed can be rubbed off the seed if its fresh and moist and that right there is an indication of a moist seed not dried enough yet. When the seed is properly dried the colored skin or striping or speckling will be perminant like a paint that dried. It can still be scraped though. But thats when i planted them and man they were perfect. If you just leave the plant and do nothing you will have all completed seeds. 99% viable seeds and no underdeveloped seeds

hey the the pollen on these plants is huge cloud of pollen. And im not playing around. The inside of my tent looks like a fucking yellow powdered donut. Good thing water destroys pollen on contact.

I control the pollen with ridiculous amounts of negative air pressure.

I am working with a bud to seed his whole garden possibly and all he wants is for me to replace 3lbs we are confident he would get… that would have me getting my Purple train Wreck as he has a female train wreck in his garden… the others are a White Runtz, RP#5, Willy’s wonder and one I will have to confirm him…
well you can pollinate specific parts of the plant only. Either get a big sack. Tire store tire bag and cover plant except a couple branches poking out pollinate the branches sticking out only. Or pollen in a sack over a budded branch and pollinate that way. Water would be a good idea to spray the plant with water so any pollen hits it dies rather than pollinating the whole plant and city block!
a clone of his female would be good to get a hold of for your own in tent mini breeding. You can make tiny bud plants and tiny seeded plants. Wait im about to mate the skygods. I have 2 females and 3 males and there small now. Im gonna make small seeded plants.

ok the beans are piling up. And these are just pre flower beans. The buds them selves have 15-20 each also or more.

That is where I am heading for the winter… but no we have agreed to 3 lbs for him minus his good sellable weed… all seeds are ours…but I do hear what you’re saying @PreyBird1 but damn I will still have enough weed for a season or two after this deal…lol…even with extraction… get in with Photosyntech and preach to the choir…I have oodles of respect for you…

Based on the jars being as full as they are. The white runtz has made the most seeds and the biggest seeds.

I know small is better. But i wanted as many seeds i could get doing christmas tree style. So i did it 2 ways. 1. I had the male start flowering before the females made any buds and i let them bud and as the male was pollinating the whole time.
2. The second way in tent 2 is i let the buds set in and grow to like a small hazel nut size. then i added the male and flipped the male . So essentially i let the buds get a lot bigger before polination. In tent#2.
My goal was to test when was the better time to pollinate the females. People say this or that about the subject. But i could give a shit what people say. I’ll figure it out myself and do what i like anyways. And share what i know worked and ill document it. So after i pull all the seeds from the crosses i will have a definitive answer what worked the best. Because a lot of the crosses are same strains in the different tents so its perfect for crossing and testing this out at the same time. Because i have the same plants in 2 tents

That’s basically #1… I started the males in Feb… forced them then separated them from females… then put outside and revegged… now they (as a second mendo purp is going in his garden) are a bit from opening… 2 weeks maybe and they will stay until harvest… and nice… talk to Photo yet… thats why I want you on his show…people can learn that want to learn… I am new to this also and finding a way that fit’s my style… I do feel I will be crossing indoors unless this buddy want to do this again if it works then I will give hime the strains I want crossed and add a male or two of the strain I want to cross with…lol…still looking for a Willy Skunk male my last 3 chance are in the tent as seedlings…
