I always make sure there dry u can pick them up feel the weight and see ur soil receding around the pot let them dry they’ll droop slightly when thirsty don’t let them go that far but they will be light I lift them every day to feel them but my humidity drops off just another indicator they have taken it in

I am under the understanding that you never let cocco dry … you want to water once a day

Why’s that??

You know idk… just everything I have read…so thats what ibdob

So I had to further educate myself on coco grows the oxygen to water ratio is way different I’m reading at least 1 feeding per day but as much as 3-5 times in automation feeding plants grow way different on it and need frequent watering maybe she’s just hungry my base is a promix I’ve tried coco but I believe I was steered wrong and was my entire problem from jump in that case higher oxygen allow for more water/nutrient uptake

Says the uptake in coco is amazing like no other medium dialed feeding is key in hydro took me a bit but research is ur best friend

Yeah man I love my cocco … never flush with just water with cocco…
That being said I am gonna try once a week one of my feeding will water then later that day the next feeding will be nutes …
Yes 5.8 is it… not to mention 5.8 is the zone for your plant to suck up everything.
The best thing about cocco is is at its best completely saturated…
… and can’t be over watered

I read somewhere that coco coir retains ~30% oxygen at all times so therefore it’s almost impossible to overwater. Advanced Nutrients pH perfect usually starts around 5.8-5.9 and then throughout the week it slowly climbs. When I see it hit 6.2, I’ll either add more RO or distilled water, ad some more nutes, or do a changeout if that’s needed. Since I’ve kept this regimen, my plants have started to take off. Autopot systems are gravity fed into trays that the pots are in and the water wicks up from there. I was told when I bought it at the hydro store that it allows the plants to ā€œdrink whenever or however much they want.ā€ Coco is always moist and I’ve only had to worry about checking my water every 4-5 days. It’s an awesome system.

Iv had problems with my ph runoff since 2wk of grow 6.5-6.6 being a beginner I’d didn’t think anything of it, wk4 I found ph hadn’t changed but EC was 2.6-3.2 I had nutrients build up in pot I flushed with straight water until got it all out I think that was the biggest mistake I made, nutrient runoff was a negative reading it was watered down EC and ph was always high until I started doing a flush basically every time I Fed them nutrients I just kept feeding the pot until my ph was the same as it was going in and then I found my EC was that also, I’m now in wk 3 of flower and iv just got my PH and EC balanced now
