Preybird farms ** seed test Room! **

No they do notšŸ¤” you have to get your tray a size smaller than the tent which is kind of a bummer but it still works out I just use mine as huge drain trays so I can Auto water and not worry about emptying runoff just goes outside to a 5 gallon bucket and I use it for exterior plants

I do the sane with all my runoff water and if i have any ledtover afyer waters i take it outside on roses or. Plants sometime it gets thrown across the lawn lol. When lawn receives it it seems that that rea of lawn take off with a vengence but but on the bad side of it where i dump the nutes in lawn seems to attract the grubs and jap beetles during their times. Maybe the smelks of nutes or whatever but they will tear up a lawn for sure. Thwy .ust feed on the roots as grubs have dead looking grass in spots u touch hrass it just pulls right from dirt like not even attached. Lol. Do a grub treatment they disappear and grass comes back fast but ive since stipped throwing the leftovers on the lawn just plants.

Gibirilic acid make a seed soak. Take sand paper sand the seed edges to facilitate easier opening. And use clonex seed nutrient in the paper towel to pop the sseds in. I alway use clonex seedling and clone nutrients. A lot of people dont feed there seedlings… but i do and i actually feed from seed to weed! I like to see how long i can keep cotyledons on a plant!

You know i had some really old seeds from @bullfrog420 and i stopped trying to pop them because there too old…i tried everything and could only get a little beak of a tail then nothing. And whats happened is the seeds were stored wrong and as the seed lays dormant in room temps its uses up its food supply/stores inside and then there not enough energy to pop open and drive the tap root down so the seeds is too weak to grow beyond just cracking open because thats all the energy it has or had left. Seeds need to be chilled in a fridge or frozen if there stored long term. If there stores long term they cannot be messed with like taking them in and out of the freezer to grow some and putting them back. Temperature changes affect the seeds. There literally alive and only have so much food and energy inside. I like to test seeds out and I think i have an obsession with me always growing the weakest looking seeds first to see how they grow and then onto really nice healthy looking seeds. Also if you can grow good plants in a poor enviroment then these are generally better genetics. So when i do larger pheno hunts you can do one set of seeds in the bad enviroment and some in a better less harsh environment to see which are the best of both environments and then thise are the keeper plants. There are lots of ways to stress plants at all stages of growth to see which are the strongest of them all and then use those seedlings for your grow and final pheno testing phase.

Yep, everything in the fridge at all times.

I don’t do the fridge, I always do the freezer. However, I also put them in mini glass jars, or tubes if you will…then I put them in aluminum tins, then mark them with whats inside so I don’t have to open them up. I then put them in yet another glass mason jar. I have seeds 20+ that will sprout. Probably never get to them lol. Another seed junkie here !!

Ah I read a long time ago fridge is better, moisture content in the freezer could be problematic.

Not inside two sealed glass jars, and one sealed aluminum tin. The world seedbanks keep the world’s seeds in deep freeze. In a mountain in Switzerland I believe. But below freezing for sure. Besides fridges nowadays are all frost free, and dry things out just like a freezer. Only the old time boxes were ā€œstill airā€ cold.
