They call me big j. First time indoor grower seasoned outdoor grower , this is my second indoor grow and first time hydro , I use old school hid lights with newer electronic ballast at 1000 watts, I usually make my own grow media , but have on occasion bought dirt. This is mostly a hobby for me, and I enjoy the rewards after, lol, I’ve always been told I have 2 green thumbs. I can grow and bring back just about anything, figured I’d give the indoor a try after some thieves got me. So far so good on the indoor, few minor hiccups along the way but that’s to be expected , a few may know me from other forums. Same screen name. Hope to make some more new friends , get some good advice and help when I can thanks all Lots more pics to come.

Looking good. Are you doing hydro and soil?

Yes they do. And thank you. I planned on pulling my tent down and hanging my other light. I just have to Separate that room on its own breaker. The hydro took off way faster than expected( 1st hydro grow) and had to switch them over, I had planned on veg a little longer on my dirt ladies. But that didn’t work out, I will have a little better planning next round now that I know what to expect out of the hydro

March 17 when dirt ladies were transplanted to pots for cups. March 28 was the start of the hydro. The hydro passed up the dirt ladies

That’s a sweet hydro set up you got. I might have to steal it.

I like what you’ve got going @bigj! I like your hydro setup my friend. I switched over to a rdwc setup last year and I’m loving it!!

It’s an aeroflo2 18 site setup. It was given to me by my brother, he tried it a couple time and couldn’t get the hang of it, I figure I’d give it a try. Could be bigger or spaced out more.works really well But I think this setup is for better for like a 2-3 week veg Then flip, I never expected the growth to be this rapid, got way overgrown way too fast. Next round , couple less plants for better control

Thank you. Definitely a big difference from dirt, took some getting used to, needing a little more attention than dirt. But so far I like it, very impressed with this first ever hydro grow for me, next round will be a little more controlled and a few less plants , and I plan on opening up the room some more and adding my second light

Few new pics, about 4 weeks along into bud, oh and I forgot to mention that I was kinda following along with @repins12 and do a run without reservoir changes I did one full wash out and change when I first transplanted because I over did it on the nutes, 1000 ppm with seedlings. Doesn’t work well lol. I changed ,washed and refilled the reservoir and stabilized the ph to 5.8 started over at 200 ppm and has been the same water other than adding when needed. And so far the ph stabilizes itself out at 5.8-6.2 with straight tap water right out of the faucet that ph at 7.0 , I check it every other day. Ppm is around 1100 now. I will change the reservoir for when I flush at the end.
