R they blue or purple. I’ll look online at them right quick

Blue but just a couple rows. Mostly white. I’ve had great growth so far. Just concerned about flowering.

Ok I seen them. They should do fine. Blue is good for veg as it don’t get plants stretchy but it should not harm u in flower I think u’ll be good to go til u decide u wanna get better lights that should be fine brotha.

When I do get some HLG, would you get one of those Far Red lights or something like an RSpec?
I was looking at a Tomahawk too.

If u get the r specs u don’t really need the far red. Red helps put them to sleep and wake them up for better production. That’s if it’s set on a time to come on so long before the main lights and so long after mains go off for night. Like 15 mins each way and it helps them sleep. It does help in flower also but if u have a rspec u shouldn’t need the far red light I mean if u get a bsoec then u will wanna get red to add for flower but both do well u should be a otaye

Red isnt for sleep. Any leaves under the canopy receives far red from the light passing thru the canopy leaves.
Red is what happens in summer. Blue is spring. Different positions of the sun is what we are mimicking.

See reading says different it’s used for multiple things but helps put plant to sleep for a better metabolism at dark and helps wake the plants up.

I will probably stick with an RSpec so I can use it for an entire grow cycle. I guess we will see how Sonofarm performs for flowering. I am extremely pleased with vegetative growth performance.

U can add more red to that light if u don’t feel there is enough by adding a far red. Honestly rapid led makes one that u can prolly clip on the light itself with a screw lol. They r just a small board 4 red chips I believe 35ish watts maybe 50. I know hlg far red bulbs is 50 but it’s a bit bulky compared to rapids and rapids is just as bright or brighter

Today I’ve been working out how I will train these plants and was wondering if I would get good results from topping the Super Silver Haze since it’s lanky and not as bushy as the BBK.
Could I cut the highest points and get more compact growth/more bud sites?

Yep uv helps also as the sun gives off uv rays also. Ok got the van coming back today on the plus it was kept inside a building the whole time it was there so all stayed at a reasonable temperature. If I don’t make it to post today I will tomorrow for sure and I will send trk when I get home from work with it. Appreciate the wait bud still can’t believe the van system froze up they said looks like someone ripped it off with regular water not antifreeze. Lol. It was major diluted on the reader.

Yes where u top it will shoot out as 2 tops everywhere u take the top from. Don’t do it no more than a week or so before flower. Always give 1 to 2 weeks recovery before u flip tho

Im building a new light now. Actually its going to have 12 lights and 3 drivers. If you want low cost lights build them or hit up hlg.com. they got low cost lights and parts and big expensive lights. When im done building this light i will test all my par levels on all my lights. And try and map the ligh arear as well compare it dollar for dollar to the big lights that hlg makes. Also this lights will have wayyyy too much UV power so were going to have to run it on a timer well see.

I’m a dumbass. I’ve been using Silica Boost this whole time without checking pH.
Today I checked RO water which is 5.5 and after adding the recommended amount of 1 tsp. per gallon of potassium silicate, pH was 9.3!
I’m going to stop using that unless I need to increase pH… holy crap! I’m glad I caught my mistake though.
The plants have been very forgiving.
Do you think that’s why the leaves have a yellowish tint?
