Now Iāve gotta decide what to grow for the next run. Iām thinking I will stick with feminized for now but maybe if I get more pots I can do some regs and grow enough to account for the males.
If u grow regs when they get like stoppable u can top it and root the top and leave it on 12 12 to see sex faster. If female u can cut more clones for future grow off the mama and flower her out while having a few in nursery bags vegging. I have clones in nursery bags for months. Just feed and water them by adding feed in the tray and they wick it up some days I top feed to push stuff out clones grow better buds to me than the seed plant. U will see when u grow out a clone from the seed plant buds r bigger and tastier

I got 2 Spectrum X. I only installed one today but I will get the other installed tomorrow most likely.

I think Iām going to give em another week of veg and then flip.
Should I be aiming for as many bud sites as possible or pruning the small shoots that donāt seem like they would produce much?
Maybe I will have to decide after I see the resultsā¦
If ur gonna go another week do a slight defol rid of all the big ass leaves that cover anything. All the underneath foliage can go. If ur aiming for good buds. Lollipop and expose all sites u can that will be even with one another for an even coverage. Iām gonna scrog one of the banks I got from u.
Nice lots more spots exposed. Now from now til like day 21 of flower just tuck leaves out of the way of the bud sites to keep the light to them. Iād be happy with what u have going now. Uāll see the. Ud sites that were covered watch them start to shoot up to the light now. Ur gonna love it. Hell u can take cuts now from that and get some vegging for next run

Whats the tucking the leaves back do? Why wouldnt you remove the ones your tucking?
You dont recommend to take the cuts while trimming?
Leaves r like the engine in a car without them the plant goes nowhere more leaves more work the plant does. If they r tuckable to expose the bud sites itās better to tuck them then tear them off. Iāll find the video I watched this dude is def super informative on everything about defols.
Unless your plants stripped naked itās going to have plenty of leaves to photosynthesize is my belief I give mine a good trim every week I donāt believe they need all the extra leaves I mean donāt get me wrong you donāt want to go crazy if the plant shows it doesnāt like it donāt give it to it but for the most part they all seem to love it again just my opinion
When u defol a plant it also kills off feeder roots that help absorption of water and minerals im gonna have to search thru ig does anyone know of a way I can go thru watched videos on ig and see if I can find it that way. I know how to share and such on there not how to do anything much further than chat. Lol. I wanna say I watched it on ig but donāt know how to go about seeing videos Iāve watched.
Tucking never works for me i mean theres no way to tuck so much growth.
I practice removal of 100 percent of my leaves. After i harvest ill show you the roots. No dead ones. In fact because I develop the roots as well, thatās what feeds the plant in flower when i remove the leaves. Similar to a bush you can never cut down. Established root zone.
Iām not saying donāt defol just not always if u can tuck the leaf and it stay tucked for shit to receive light do so if not by all means take it away. Lol. Iām just saying dude says that tucking it under a branch so that site gets the light is best as the site will be better for u with leaves in each. Like every branch has a big fan that feeds that branch and each off branch has a leaf protruding from where the sites gonna be those leaves feed that site area and the leaves at the mains feed the branching itās attached to so dude says by re.oving the leaf u r taking away the engine for the branch to do itās full work they say one good defol in veg and one in flower and they say 2 weeks after flip is best not 21 days like we all have been told and telling. This is just from a video I am currently gonna try the 21 day defol on one and 2 weeks on another and see if it a difference or not as I am curious. Just as Iāve been watching videos on canna plants needing rest no they donāt I donāt recall the term for the plants that donāt need a rest but cannabis is one of them where as when it hits it dli it is like the light just bounces off the leaves like rain drops on a soaked surface. Until the plant receives itās max dli for the day it will absorb and do work for u the more light the more trichomes should produce acting as a sunblock on the leaves. Sir i am also not disagreeing with you either im still learning all the time and i remove a lot of mine but last grow i think i took too much this grow i have now i donāt know if i took enough but i am saying this.
The reasoning for me saying what i said is because i just find it impossible to do that but as you said also to do if youcan and yes,i am not able but not disagreeing if you can do it. Im personally thinking about taking more off mine at 30 days into flower.

This plant allows you to do whatever you want to it and it will grow.
As you see not everyone can grow a plant to it fullest potential. So its finding what works best for your needs. Not everyone grows for the same outputs.
The reason i tend not to get in the middle of new folks grows is, if i messed up someoneās medicine for their loved ones i would be heartbroken. I tend to leave the newbies to the best of the best growers.
I am not the best grower. Thats why i recommend ideas and not telling you this is the way things are definitively.
I learned how to grow mushrooms on the Shroomery forums so I am used to taking advice and knowing it is going to be different from everyone depending on their style and preferences.
Iām going to develop my own style eventually after I get a feel for how cannabis grows. Iām already observing a lot that will be very helpful for the next run. So many questions as a newbie but I have found my intuition with growing plants in general has proved correct and applicable to cannabis.
