Well you can do any light dark combo you want to… from what i have read is the dont really need a light cycle till flower. But have also read that the best cycle is 18/6… and if I remember right NASA uses 18/6 I might be wrong lol. But 18/6 is tied and true soooo🤷♂️. Also look up gaslight schedule. But you have the idea. I wouldn’t worry about a 24hr dark till you switch to flower. If your running autos you can keep a 24hr. Light could be fun. Plus remember when your lights are on your power meter spins faster lol

If you want to save on electricity it’s up to you… it’s a debate or preference on everything. I don’t know your whole thing but over a big led or hid a small blurple works fine for a while.
