Suggested RO system?

Yep that’s the one I have, without the booser pump. I use 10 gal every 4 days so mine is plenty with 50 gal a day output.

Normal is 60 psi. If you have a pressure regulator on your water inlet at the meter you can turn it out to incease the pressure.

This kit is sold commonly with the DI filter. Is that suitable since it says to use compression fittings with the DI filter?

Also newb question but what does deionized water do for nutrient solution.

It should be.If you click on the picture I posted I did put holders or clamps on the compression push pin connectors.

DI water is of BETTER quality than R/O…it will make your nutrient solutions and irrigation water the finest quality available…I can pretty much guarantee you that the vast majority of experienced growers here would deal with nothing else !!!

Thanks Marty !!

It’s hard for these newer growers to understand the tremendous benefit of using R/O DI water…LOL even ‘rain water’ has it’s isuues huh !?

Anyway you haven’t been that cranky lately !!!..I even considered editing my post…but said NAH !!!

@chaosweaver , @TheMadFlascher all this talking about RO systems reminded me that I need a new collection container. Someone set something heavy on my bucket and stand and bent the legs on it. Lol!

I ordered the 100 gal 3 part with DI filter separate and the fitting to connect the DI to the rest of the system. My question now is, when hooking this up to the cold line in the laundry room, it appears to be a standard 3/4" hose fitting (male) coming from the wall. Do I need an adapter to run in-line to feed the RO, and then from there to my washer machine?

Something like this?

I’ll have to remember to turn the washer machine water back on…or face the wrath :stuck_out_tongue:

I use a 30 gal re-purposed chemical surfactant barrel.

The curved sides on it made me put the spigot about 12-15 gal up the barrel, but it is still plenty of water for me on a water day.

They give you the hose bib adaptor to put on a standard washer dryer hookup on the water side, then you just need a spigot for your collection container whatever that is (plastic is MUCH eaiser to drill out to put in your float valve) Then you can just get the 1/4" for the plastic tubing between the hose bib and the filter itself. I used the inside portion of the feed line to my hose bib outside and then just cut into the 1/2" copper pipe and put in a secondary hose bib, screwed on the bib to 1/4" tube line and shut it off there.

Ah ok, I’m planning on just using a small ecopump instead of a spiget.

What would you guys recommend for getting rid of chloramine ?

Blue Boogie filter.

If you need to back flush it, you can get a feeder hose from a home improvement store.
