Terpenes - and all things under this subject

Hey everyone! I run a terpene flavor profile supply company.

Would love to hear some feedback on everyone’s favorite strain profiles. Which strains have the most memorable flavors?

We have more demand for terpenoid profiling everyday, because grows have a difficult time finding labs with quantitative methods.

I think that testing for terpenes is going to slowly become the industry standard, backed by customer demand for it.

What do you guys think of this idea of manually adjusting terpene content?

I have included a medical research poster I presented at Harvard Medical School a few months ago at the CannMed conference. It goes very deep on terpenes in cannabis, which strains have which terpenes, and what the major terpenes do to human health.

If you feel like diving deep on the medical science behind terpenes, this is a fun rabbit hole to ride.

Anyone planning on attending this conference?

That’s amazing!

Can we share that too please?! With credit, of course!

Also, our lab manager, Stephanie, met you at CannMed and said great things.

Sharing of this poster is totally ok, as it has already been presented to the public as Digamma’s research at the CannMed 2017 conference. Obviously modifying the chart or cropping it any way are not allowed, but it is free to be reproduced in its entirety with others.

We built the databases that generated the data your seeing on the chart here. The databases include terpene data on ~1,000 unique cannabis samples across the country, and a database of medical research papers looking at either cannabinoids or terpenes as medicine. If you are interested in looking into some of the deeper data let either me or Savino Sguera know.

Gary - you can absolutely affect terpene retention with different light spectra. Using dynamic LED lighting, you can use a blue light finishing treatment to boost terpene levels significantly in your product
