Got a question you’d like to get the community’s help with? Here’s how you start a new topic to get your question answered.
Click on the New Topic button in the upper right:
That will open a window at the bottom of the page for you to fill in:
Your topic title goes in the “Type title, or paste a link here” field. A good title lets people know what the question is about and will entice them to click on the topic to read more.
Below that is the field where you write out the rest of your question. Provide as much detail as you can and include pictures to help explain what is going on. Use this icon to include pictures:
The other icons on that row allow you to add other formatting, such as bold, italics, lists and hyperlinks. On the right-hand side you’ll see a preview of what your post will look like with the images and formatting included.
If you need more space to compose a longer post, you can increase the window size by clicking at the top and dragging up:
The last step is to select the category that your topic will appear in. Click on the “Select a category” dropdown and pick the category that best matches what your question is about. For instance if it’s a question about your grow operation, select the Growing category:
Once everything looks the way you want, click on the Create Topic button in the bottom left to make your topic live for everyone to see:
One your topic is live, you’ll receive notifications by email when anyone posts an answer or reply to your topic.
If, after creating your topic, you find that you made a typo or need to update your topic with information you forgot to add, you can always go back and edit your topic. Click on the pencil icon at the bottom of your topic to open the editor back up and make any changes:
Once you’re done with your changes click on the Save Edit button in the lower left to push that edit live.
