@blavid i used to keep mothers but all it takes is some pests to get to shit and bang your screwed. Also mothers are harder to maintain and they take a lot of space. Because of @farmer_dan. Now i always have 4 clones rooted and in 4 different stages of growth so i alway have a choice mother. And if you get any pests its easy to treat a tiny plant and quarantine it than a big mother.
