actually from Pacific Seed Bank. My friends that requested i grow it say the sample buds we smoked this week are a perfect representation of the original DNA Genetics strain. That being said, i had a bit of trouble getting to sleep after the chocolate testing the other night so I am taking the second plant down today. I gave it another 5 days form the time i took the first sample.

Rock Hard Nugs
I find myself wondering what makes the plant grow rock hard dense buds? i’ve had plants put out said buds growing right next to others that put out fluffy buds both getting the same light and nutes. I realize genetics do play a part… BUT, i’ve had plants of the same strain, right next to each other, one gets hard the other doesn’t. Why?
is it genetics, nutrients, strength of said nutes, lights, temps… what is it?

I’ve been wondering the same thing for a long time myself, however when I have grown all the same strain got the same kinds of buds different colors sometimes but same or nearly the same structure.

well many i have asked have come back with a combination of not overfeeding, genetics and light intensity, as long as there’s not too much red in the right. I’m saving up for new commercial grade LED’s so that will help.
well shit, i lost a plant in the flower room this week and my mom of the Blackberry Kush. 4/20 proved to be busier than i expected and i didn’t get downstairs to water often enough. damn. nonstop running and deliveries for 3 days straight.
onward and upward, i guess. the rest of the flower room looks great. i do have a monster chocolope in dirt and a wedding cake in dirt too. And a wedding cake in coco and 2 others…
potted up some LA Confidential, 1988 G13 Hashplant and C99 this morning.
in the flower room i have a couple monsters - one Chocolate around the big light is 5 1/2 feet tall. The big wedding cake is about the same size but not as bushy. life is good.
toked some G13Hashplant last night. man she is so smooth. Everyones commented on how good she tastes too. The bus is chill and heavy and almost perfect. I could do a touch heavier. Next harvest will be right at 8 weeks. The chocolope is rocking everyones head too. tastes like unsweetened cocoa and the buzz is like someone grabs you by the back of the head, looks you in the eyes then slaps you across the face, and you actually like it.

potted up some LA Confidential, G13 HP and C99 into final pots. They’re under the 1K watt MH vegging. Also potted up some Chocolope and C99. Flower room is hitting 5 weeks. Dropped some beans too: Shit by Mr Nice to cross to the Hippy Slayer, Berry Noir, Chemdog F2’s, and another Blueberry Yum Yum

well how bout that. All beans have popped. The Chemdog F2’ are Reservoir’s Chemdog F2’ made by a friend. I wish I could remember his name, but he spoke mainly spanish and lived on an island off the coast of Venezuela> He sent me the beans probably close to 14 years ago. All three of those popped. I’m pretty excited. I remember this stuff tasting like you sucked on a skunk’s ass (oily skunk that coats your entire mouth) and the buzz is like someone hit you in the head with a 2x4. I might use this to start the back crossing to the hippy slayer to begin the cubing process. We shall see

checked trichs yesterday in the flower room. The big wedding cake girls are all clear turning cloudy, same with the monster chocolope in dirt. should be right on time for 9-10 weeks.
next round will be 4 LA Confidential and 4 1988 G13 Hashplant and a C99.

picked up a new LED from Mammoth. It shipped yesterday. This light is for veg and will replace my 1K MH in the veg room It just gets too damn hot in the veg room over the summer. I’ve spoken with reps from this company and like them. Their warranty is one of the best i’ve seen and the modular upgradability is impressive too.
The wedding cake has been kicking my ass the past 2 nights. The smoke is so smooth and tasty. The buzz is chevy-ish with a fun, happy, mischievous level of weird to it and lasted me a long time - around 3 hours or so.

new LED light in veg is going to force a revamp of the veg room. This thing is so damn huge - about 65% bigger than the magnum XXXL hood it replaced. But it is in place and working beautifully. onward and upward.

Dang gum that is definitely some Freaky Deaky right dere sir. I haven’t been over to your page in forever and I HAVE got to mark it. Very impressive goods your working with. I’ve grown Chocolope twice and love it. Gotta do another round now that I’m thinking about it and salivating, been at least 2 years. Staying on your coat tails - my last wedding cake go at it was knock out tasty like too. That vanilla wafer sweetness was out of this world delicious I remember. AND oh I remember it very well since my very first taste joint of it I was driving when someone from oncoming lane whipped a beer bottle and shattered my windshield. I went from proud, stoned to da bone bliss to WTF just happened dumb founded sobriety at the speed of light… Or as fast as a closing speed of about 150 mph. LoL

@cloudkandy , stayed tuned. Just took a clone of the Madmartigan, since i can find ZERO information on that strain. Tokyo snow will be int he next round after that.

there’s the new light in veg.the temps in the room and my house are much more manageable. It’s been close to 100 here the past few days. I noticed to much cooler difference in working in my kitchen (above the veg room) and in potting up plants last night. it’s much much better.
