@Slym3r some of us won’t steer you wrong but others like me like to take detours and the scenic route. But we do end up at the same place eventually. Welcome to the group ladies or gentlemen. @Hydro ever be embarrassed about any questions. The only dumb question is the one that is not asked. Trust me I ask some stupid stuff that I probably should know. But sometimes it’s better to get a second opinion on something. I do sit back and read some of the older questions or articles that have been posted in the past. But if I feel like that something is outdated I will ask it again. To get some of the newer people’s thoughts on something. But I try to search for my problem first. This is a great group and we do leave politics race religion and any other type of nonessential to growing or a good laugh alone. We are all here to help and learn.

Hey brother like @Slym3r said don’t ever be afraid to ask anything. I have been growing weed since the mid 70’s and still learn something new every grow. The day that we think that we know everything, is the day that we stop growing, in many ways. We all want to see each other succeed. I try not to ever look at it as I did something wrong but, that I learned how not to do it again.

@Mark0427 again like my brother @Slym3r said, even with the best beans that money can buy, if not grown and harvested properly, you still end up with average weed, from an expensive seed. I grew some last year that gave me couch lock but, affected my buddy differently. The effects are definitely different on different people, for sure

i pulled the plug on the last group of 20 seeds. that makes a grand total of 70 seeds! not one popped but i did get a mushroom. it died. i tried everything i know and nothing worked. i am going to buy an engraved box with my brothers name on it and return the seeds to my sister in law. i cant believe out of the thousand or so seeds that all of then would be bad, i did something wrong i just feel it.

I don’t have much luck germ’n old seeds T. I have about 500 I’ve kept over the prior years in a film canister and I got maybe 2 out of 50 tries to pop and neither of them to grow past an 1/4" tails.

I have been trying to pop old beans too. I’ve tried a few methods that seemed crazy.
Hydrogen peroxide water,
Finger nail clipped,
Slight crushing,
Sandpaper.
Seemed the peroxide method worked on one of the round i was working…

i was freaking out thinking i forgot to turn the lights back on in my room. i am going to 18/6 now and it takes getting used to

i used sandpaper too then calmag and kelp in the peroxide distilled water then i just threw them in dirt. the only think i grew was a mushroom and it was dead the next day. 70 seeds!

Thats how i got my older ones to pop. A shot glass of ro water and a cap full of peroxide. This is how i do all my beans then after 24 hrs or they sink i tgrow them in paper towel and pour the mixed water on the napming to keep it wet. If it is cooler in the house u can take a small pot with hot water and put the glass plate on that and set the napking and bag on the warm plate. Heat seems to help alot germing them well for me it does. I actually use a heating pad set on low or medium and put the plate on that. Just have to remember to turn it on every 2 hrs lol. Safety feature.

And yup, i said something they just didn’t like so the old erase a roo it went. Unbelievable, just jaw dropping. That is a CLEAR message. If they don’t like you or what you say = just delete it. Screw others opinions.

Hell most the time i het ignored asking a question so i gave up. Dbm used to seem like an alroght fella now idk what is up but theu are all changimg the forum for the worse not better. I used to love kpening it up and reading and chatting there not anymore. I just come here for the most part. Everyone is alot friendlier.

I always tried to answer anyone’s questions, that were asked of me. If I didn’t know the answer, I didn’t answer but, said that I am not sure let me do some checking, or tag some people that might know. I would never give anyone a bullshit answer.
@LoCoRocK the Napoleon complex strikes again. If they fear you or don’t like your response, they try to make it disappear. I have called them out several times for what they have said to other people. I just state the facts and they don’t like it. Surprised I haven’t been banned but, it is what it is. I don’t let my mouth overrun my ass. If I say something I am ready to back it up 100%

i get ignored all the time. its like the game i play at dunkin donuts. i walk in. they pretend they dont see me, then i leave. i go in now because its funny to me .i am easily amused. peoples perceptions of me by what i wear is hilarious. i get mistaken for a homeless person all the time. so i go anywhere i want online and real life. no one sees me.

Well just as an outside view of things. These are herb forums. Not Facebook. If they get used as Facebook, then yes erase the stuff that doesn’t apply to weed. It’s not censoring, it’s regulation.
No newbie trying to make medical products for their dying loved ones is going to dig thru a mess of talky talk. Thats why I am here. To provide the best medical information I can for my patients.
We are the forerunners of this medical industry. If we don’t take it, big pharma will.
Not saying anyone was wrong or right on these situations, just shouldn’t be here.
