Where do you see the industry in the future? Meaning, I read the recent breakdown of consumption by demographic and flower seems to be falling off in popularity and being replaced with oils, edibles, etcâŚI call it âcorporate consumptionââŚbasically what you can do while you are working without the negative side effects (odor, smoke, etc). Are you seeing trends in cultivation end usage?

Aquaponics is a huge passion of mine. One of the reasons being it is such a sustainable way to grow. Fish feed the plants plants feed the fish the circle of life. One of the huge benefits is not having to use as many pest control products because of the lack of medium and the ability of the fish to do some of the work for us.
Hydroponics is great because you can use up to 90% less water than traditional farming methods. You have more control over nutrient uptake and availability. Being able to monitor your pH and adjust it using synthetic products is also a huge benefit.
It comes down to personal grow space and what youâre willing to sink into it. Hydroponics is a great method and I canât say that itâs better than aquaponics because they both have their benefits.
We have several products in both of our lines that can be used in either a Aquaponics system or Hydro And I will provide a link for them shortly

When growing for a higher terpenes and assuming for extraction. Itâs important to maintain a PPFD of around 900 (Îźmol/m2/s) using a combination of HPS and LEC lighting.

I do an LED/LEC combo that crushes it and gives great terp profiles.
Why do you prefer HID over LED?

Being such a consumer driven market and seeing how the trends can just change with the new hot social media hype. The sky is really the limit. Look at how big the edible industry has taken off itâs set to quadruple in the United States and Canada to a $4 billion industry.
It seems nothing is bigger than the oil and extract opportunities right now bio mass is selling!!! . It can be used for everything from edible production to topical products all the way down to Vape pens so the demand is shaping the industry.

With this being said! It would be smart for companies to focus on using the waste better i know in Canada it is done very poorly.

Really it comes down to return on investment. Donât get me wrong LED is a great technology and has been making huge advancements especially lately and the gardening and technology are finally catching up with each other, but hen it comes to watt per gram itâs nearly impossible to beat high pressure sodium lighting.

The more the industry matures and demand for such products become more prevalent you can expect to see some advances in some of the sustainable technologies available. I wouldnât expect solar power water pumps or hydro electric lights but the future is bright in sustainable cannabis.

I agree but with battery storage you could put solar and have small turbines in the piping to help or even cover the costs of running LEDâs, making power costs extremely low

What light spectrum do you prefer to maximize the full potential of your flowers? Do you change the spectrum for finishing or incorporate any UVB light? Any thoughts on the efficacy of UVB?

what would you like to know i am a bit of an expert on PM. but only in soil i am curios about how spraying works in hydro.
