Anyone using an App to keep track of your grow?

I have been using “Grow with Jane”. It’s pretty good but I’ve a couple of changes I’d like to see. Who has a better one? That’s FREE? Yeah, I’m a cheapskate. LOL

That is what this site is for. This site by far is the best journaling site. Easy format, tons of research easily accessible, longevity in usage, and a professional following.

Journals generally flow such as:

I use Grow with Jane as well. Pretty decent little app. Does most things I need it to do. I like that I can go back and see my notes from previous crops

It doesn’t have a seedling mode in Jane. That bugs me. There are a few other little things as well, but it does most of what I need. I’m also checking out “Grobase”.

Most of the forums I have seen use the same software as this site so, the discriminators are more community based. I have only been on for a couple of weeks and have had only minimal engagement. The topics here are varied. The community seems laid back and not snobbish. I don’t see a lot of moderators here that think they are Horticulturalist and give out shitty advice to new growers. That’s a plus.

This looks like a Talktime format. Since I have the experience with others using this format, I can say it is not my favorite. But I don’t really have anything to add except that a “back to forum” button at the end of threads instead of having to scroll all the way back up to get back to the forum. (Yeah, I know, click the logo. LMAO) Knowing me, I was too stoned to find it. LOL

Just stopped in for a short stay - but I can tell you Closing down some old threads may be helpful. Are some of these threads two years old?

They start out with “is this Nute Burn” and morph into playing video games, cleaning out the basement and then how should a present be wrapped.

That would take well trained admins - not sure you have that ability for overhead.

Yeah you see me trying to keep folks on track. Its difficult when most online social training comes from fb. Posts that dissappear. Outta sight outta mind.

In some of the old threads has valuable information. Thats why just erasing them can be iffy.

What needs to be done is an intro to how to use site. I am working on how to word it.

Typically the threads that aren’t journals aren’t going to be very useful to most. Just someone’s thoughts that should have been in their journal to help facilitate their learning curve.

I use Grow Helper. Its not bad. Use it for notes and keep track of my nutes. Could be better. Tried others. Just for what I need its a decent app plus I’ve been using it for a while and just got used to it.
