Humboldt Seed Company's Hi-Biscus, Magic Melon, and Royal Highness DWC/LED

I’ve finally got all my plants in lids and my Hi-Biscus plants have got a nice network of roots in my nutes. My Magic Melon plants haven’t had their roots sneak out the bottom of my lids yet. 1 more day and I should see them.

I upped my Base yesterday and am running Connoisseur Grow 2ml/L, Sensi Cal-mag 1ml/L, B52 1ml/L, Voodoo Juice 1ml/L, Tarantula 1ml/L, Bud Candy 1ml/L, Sensizym 1ml/L, Rhino Skin 1ml/L.

I pulled my new bottle of Piranha because it had chunks in it, and smells like shit. So it’s going back Monday morning for a replacement. But when my bottles of Piranha and Tarantula run out, I won’t run them anymore.

My temps are a little different in the tents. The old viparspectra blurples are going away. I’m giving all 3 to a couple fellow growers that need extra lights. I’ve got a Marshydro SP150 to replace the 2 I’m using. I’ll only use Quantum Board fan less LEDs from now on. I’m going to save almost 2.5 amps when I replace these lights and get a better spectrum and intensity of light.

Daytime Temps 73-78f, Nighttime 65-67f, Rh 50-55%,
H20 Temps 66-68f, Ec 1.2, Ph 5.7-6.1.

My Magic Melon plants.
This tent runs warmer because of the Viparspectra lights, and hogs amps!
So they’re coming down next week when I get my SP150. I’ll Veg these in this tent for another 2 weeks.
Then I’ll transfer them to flower ,DWC in my 4x4 tent under another Marshydro SP3000. This light kicks some serious ass, especially for the price.
A friend just picked one up and is real excited to see how the light does under a Coco grow.

Hi-Biscus

I’ve got my top T5 turned on running a 6400k HO bulb.

I haven’t wrapped my new buckets up yet, but soon. I’m not too worried about it right now because the temps in this tent haven’t been getting above 73f.
I’ve got the light turned down to 35% so I didn’t shock my plants from the intense light…
The Samsung LM301B diodes run incredibly bright, but efficiently cool. I’ve got this light raised as high as I can get it in my tent. When it’s at 100% nothing can be within 36 inches without being negatively effected. I ran into that the 1st time I used it and had to pull it up higher after 1 day.

I’m lucky I I keep my plants low and scrogg a even canopy of buds.

Thanks my friend! I’m really excited to get my Reg Royal Highness seeds going soon. Then I’ll add some Jelly Rancher from Humboldt Seed Company before I’m done flowering these plants.
I’m really excited for that strain! :call_me_hand::call_me_hand:

Its just foil lined bubble wrap. It holds the cold in really well.

Yep same stuff. Imma do my ceilings and doors with that in new room. Bought 3 rolls of that think will be enough for small room and the door. Need to do doors in my veg and flower room with that also :facepunch:t2:

Looking fantastic! Where do you keep your water levels in relation to the bottom of the mesh basket? Level with the bottom or a little below it? I see you have both DWC and RDWC can you see any difference in the grows ?

Thanks my friend!

I keep my water levels at least an inch below, or more, from the bottom of the net pot. But the little 3 gallon buckets have water right up in them keeping my hydroton wet. But as soon as my roots pop out I’ll lower my levels down.
The rdwc comes in handy when I I have all three plants permanently scrogged to my screen. But honestly I don’t notice any difference.
Dwc is a little more time consuming emptying and filling buckets every 7-10 days.

Grow a weak seed in a bucket without changing your nutrients.
Come over to the dark side lol

I’m actually going to stretch out my reservoir changes a little more. I fill my system with 12 gallons of full strength nutes, and top off with half strength nutes.
I don’t switch out till I top off with 12g of 50% nutes.

Thanks @Tygrow78 I got PA Hydro’s kit for my buckets and got buckets now. I am going to run a little longer lines and put my 5 gal reservoir outside the tent. I figure it should be easy peasy to both keep an eye on the water level, and to drain the system. I have a 20 gal shop wet/dry vac on wheels so it should be easy to just stick the hose in the reservoir bucket and change the water without moving anything then go to the basement drain and dump. I figure that a few minutes in moist air only won’t hurt a thing till I get all the buckets filled up again. I got a couple of infinite on/off timers and already timed them on 15/ off/15 for the pump so it doesn’t overheat the water. I’ll keep an eye on the temp and adjust that if necessary. Thanks for all the info ! Much appreciated. Also got some bubble foil for the buckets coming.

In veg i changed over every 14 days in flower every 7 to 10 final flower month was like every 7 days. I used gh nutes then it didnt seem too bad on nute usage. Only was a 6 gal bucket tho

On the part of leaving the plant out of water for a bit i dont think will hurt it too bad for a little. I did a change over on mine and wife never put the plant in tge bucket with the nute water til i cleaned everything and nixed nutes again a good half hour in andry bucket on accident. Toots started go get a bit stiffer but didnt affect the pla t at all

Yeah Mark, I don’t think so either. Mine will still have about an inch of water in the bottom of all the buckets even sucking it dry with the shop vac because of the position of the inlet/outlets and the air stones will still be bubbling in that inch of water so should keep everything at 100% humidity. And cleaning the reservoir bucket and refilling shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes tops as I will mix up all my nutes before I drain, clean the one bucket then fill it right back up. I got some of the flat 4" round stones with the suction cups on them to stay in the middle of the bucket. Thanks!

You guys are to check out Dyna-gro nutrients.
You only have to change your reservoir once every four weeks. You just supplement it as your PPM’s drop. Simple :v:t3::+1:t3:
