Ok if you know a question. I downloaded their PDF feed chart. How can you not change your water and make the changes the feed chart says without changing the water? I looked at it and the feed chart in flower goes from xx amount of one thing to half of the same thing the next week, and one item goes from xx amount one week to zero the next week. Without changing the water how would you possibly do that?

I can see if it constantly went up on an item or two and everything else stays the same how that would be no problem as the PPM goes up accordingly. But when one drops and one goes up how in the world do you do that? Just ONLY increase what went up meet your PPM and leave everything else alone? Even though some items go from say 10cc per gallon one week to 0cc the next. If you didn’t change the water then that 10cc or what is left of it would still be in the water if you didn’t change it. That is what has always confused me about Hydro. Can you help me get my thinking right ? Thanks!

I looked at their starter kit that is on sale right now and it says it contains a book with it. Does that book explain my questions above? I didn’t see anything in their feed chart or tips about only changing the water every 4 weeks.

I will use percentages instead of gallons so you can understand this better because we don’t have the same size tanks. So here’s how I do it since I set my grow up I add enzymes every three or four weeks. I add Tribus once a week. I add straight water until P PMs decrease when the PPM’s decrease I add however much water I need with a full strength nutrients in it. Right now I am transition into flower so over the next few days I will be pulling in about 20% of the water from my tanks and adding full strength nutrients for bloom. They stay like that for two weeks till the stretches finished, then I drain the tanks run a flush through for a hour or so with Dina flush or sledgehammer or a similar product and then replace with a fresh bloom nutrients. Then I just add water and add full dose nutrients when required till Final flush.
I don’t live too far from the company headquarters. I called their office one time and had questions and I was able to talk to a guy that was very knowledgeable and helpful to me and he told me that you only needed to change your nutrients every four weeks. So I took it into my own hands to push it even further and I’ve had great success.

Ok I looked at the chart again, each 4 weeks of veg goes up on how much nutes to put in so the PPM goes up each week, then you flush at 4 weeks. Start your bloom nuts and they do the same each week higher for 4 weeks and the PPM keeps going up, then flush again and stay on the same PPM till final flush so just two flushes during the grow and a final flush.

My last grow I only flushed once.I did not flush once I started straight bloom nutrients until the Final flush.
You just need to keep using enzymes to keep everything clean.

My plants are growing and progressing just like they should be. I’m a week away from flipping my lights on my Hi-Biscus plants. About 10 days on the Magic Melon.

I have to say that DC Seed Exchange is definitely my go to seed bank in 2020-2021. The shipping is lightning fast and they only sell seeds in the original breeders packs.
They have some top notch breeders to chose from. I’m really excited about the Brother’s Grimm line.

Both tents have been staying within a degree or 2 of each other.

Daytime Temps 76-78f, nighttime 65-68f, Rh 50-55%, H20 temps 66-68f, Ec 2.1, Ph 5.9-6.3.

My lineup this week is Connoisseur Grow 3ml/L, Sensi Cal-mag 1ml/L, B52 1ml/L, Voodoo Juice 1ml/L, Tarantula 1ml/L, Bud Candy 1ml/L, Sensizym 1ml/L, Rhino Skin 1ml/L, and Bud Ignitor 2ml/L.

I start running Bud Ignitor 7-10 days before flipping my light schedule to get my plants uploaded with Gibberellic Acid. The secret ingredient to Bud Ignitor…
It can help with increasing growth the growth of your plant. Also it helps speed up a plants reaction to the light deprivation and get those pistils popping out a few days sooner.

My Hi-Biscus plants all FIMed 2x, right to left. My 1st plant is the one I’m taking 4 cuts from.

I started low stress training with all 3 plants 2 days before changing my reservoir.

Magic Melon plants.

I started LST 2 days prior to pictures.

Tomorrow I’m going to germinate all 10 of these Reg Royal Highness seeds I picked up at favorite dispensary.

How do you water your Rockwool cubes with your small plants in them?

I hand water with a luer tip syringe. They never grow this big in the cubes tho.
They should have been in buckets 3 weeks sooner.

I have a veg cabinet, and I set up a tray in The top half of it with a tank or bucket in the cabinet below. I have a sea of green (miniature) going in it right now. I will add a photo to this post if you don’t mind. It’s a flood drain system. I have it set up where I can start 24 plants and 4 inch cubes at the same time. Not that I need that volume but it’s cool.

I don’t wanna mess your journal up with my pictures so if this is a problem just let me know and I’ll remove it no harm no fowel.

I have mine in my aerogarden 2 weeks old.
Should be moving them now but I wont be ready until next weekend. They get away from me fast

It’s been a few since my last update. This journal has really dragged out with my germination issues, then a move and a wait while I build my new grow room. But I’m finally on the home stretch.

Day 12 Flower

I defoliatied and trained both my Hi-Biscus and Magic Melon plants, and took 4 cuts of each. I’m going to flower a clone of each plus a Royal Highness plant in my rdwc tent. The extra clones are always given to friends and fellow growers in my town.

I’m running Connoisseur Bloom 3ml/L, Sensi Cal-mag 1ml/L, Voodoo Juice 1ml/L, Bud Candy 1ml/L, Big Bud 1ml/L, Nirvana 1ml/L, Sensizym 2ml/L, Rhino Skin 1ml/L.

Daytime Temps 76-78f, nighttime 65-68f, Rh 50-55, h20 temps 66-68f, Ph 5.7-6.1, Ec 2.7. 12hr on/ 12 off.

Hi-Biscus

All my lights are running at 100%. My T5 bulbs are 3000k bulbs now, and my two 32watt uvb bulbs are running while lights are on. I keep them plenty high to avoid any issues with that spectrum of light.
I’ve always seen the best results running uv light this way. We are trying to mimic the sun and it doesn’t turn those rays on and off.
