John,

My name’s Alex, a Community Builder here at Growers Network. Welcome aboard! Although I’m in Tucson now, I was born and raised on the Jersey Shore. I can still close my eyes and taste the pizza! Jersey is a small place, so I’m sure we know a lot of the same people. Feel free to direct message me to see if we can make some connections. Cannabis is about to blow up in NJ!

Best,
Alex

G’day I’m Ivor from Canna Air Care which is an organic mold preventative product that we manufacture in Sydney Australia. I’m the CEO and founder of the company that is specifically focused in the cannabis growing industry. (Company in Australia install the product in large A/C systems of hospitals for Staph bacteria and molds).
My first foray into the world of cultivation was back in 1995 which allowed a great test bed for experimentations mainly in injecting corona discharged ozone into air and water and monitoring the effects on molds and plant diseases.
Sydney is a notoriously high humidity city so dealing with mold was a perpetual trauma.
Good news is that i now get to live in LA as i was based here for months whilst we underwent several months of onsite before and after trials in a commercial cannabis production facility. (all of which was done by a cannabis lab with on site visits only by PhD’s… really exciting results on molds, bacteria and PM

If i can be of any help to anyone in regards to molds in cannabis and how to reduce, please feel free to reach out!

Welcome, Ivor!

Mold and fungi are serious issues cannabis growers the world over face. Prevention is key. Any innovation geared at stopping mold or PM before it hits that dreaded “outbreak status” is clutch!

Very exciting to have you here!

Hello everyone! My name is Jack and I am trying to find a way in to the Cannabis Industry. Preferably working in a licensed grow facility as a Grower or Assistant to a Master Grower. But I would be more than happy to start out anywhere even sweeping floors and cleaning toilets (as long as there is opportunity for advancement; I will start anywhere) this is my life’s calling I can feel it in my bones.

Thanks Nick,
I would like to become more active on this really excellent tool!
I have a vast experience in molds and what growrooms need to do to keep it at bay…
First and foremost, all growrooms have molds, even the cleanest of cleanrooms have some degree of microscopic spores.
The next blinding flash of the obvious, but yet, as it is not so visible very few realize that, ‘every spore is costing you money’! It’s true! not only does the mycotoxin (the all pervasive gaseous release from the mold) penetrate into the plant although there is no visible signs of molds…
Just recently a spectrum photography revealed that mold could be identified in an area of a growroom a whopping 9 days before it became visible to the eye…
Now, in those 9 days what happened? well the mold actually detracted and went into a hibernation mode and then only comes out when you just happen to be walking past? Not so says growers logic, what actually happens, given that we could have a set up with a big magnification lens and nice lighting and super fast photography as the release of mold spores during dew point, (between 1am and 5am differs everyday), The 200G force release of mold is the fastest known projectile known on the face of the planet earth according to David Attenborough who said that certain molds spores are trajected so fast that it makes a speeding bullet look like it is going in reverse, (or something like that).
So, these spores in the, not millions, its the Big B and maybe even the big T for trillions, they fly everywhere and wherever they land, they have one function, destroy organic matter as quick as possible…
Now, much like us, if we have to go someplace for a week or 2 and there is heavy mold odors in the day time, and you sleep in there, after 2 weeks (or in some cases like yours truly, 2 minutes), you may begin to notice a few things are not quite right! lol… (i don’t mean to laugh out loud if someone is suffering the terrible affliction of exposure to toxic molds, it is quite a horrific oreal and it can take years, if you ever really recover such is the ferocity of mold.
Cannabis plants also cop it when exposed to molds, yields definitely reduce, also efficacy, and for the connoisseur, flavours are effectred etc.
‘who ya gonna call’?

I think I posted a reply to you in the wrong location, lol, still navigating through the forum. Seems like a really great tool…

Wondering, should I put up a post offering free samples to growers? Just want to run things by you first to see if it is appropriate or not… I try to make everything informative in a neutral sense, but at the end of the day, the world of cannabis has to know that our product exists and can make such a difference!

All the best,

Ivor

Spores are EVERYWHERE. I’ve dealt with some pretty nasty facilities in my time, so I know that a bad grow can be a breeding ground for molds/mildew (bad grow for plants, great grow for molds!). Lol. Ewww.

GNET is a great tool and resource. We are here to help. Growers are always looking to banish mold and mildew.

Getting samples out on the forum is something we can discuss. I’m sure we can collaborate to get the word out about your product!

Thanks for your welcome! Yes the pizza is great here, still the same. I live near Monmouth University about a mile away from the ocean. Love it here, yes I think Cannabis is on the verge of blowing up in NJ. I’m sure its nice out in Tucson. I have a client in NC that grew up on the shore and we found out that she knew several people and some clients of mine up here, it’s true what you say about knowing the same people! Would definitely like to make some connections so lets keep in touch!
