I now reside in South Africa and have a just attained access to one of the first Licenses in the Country to produce Cannabis.

I’ve always been around the plant and fell deeply intrigued by all aspects of it when I was at University.

I was originally born in Durban, South Africa and then moved to Madeira Island, Portugal.
Returned to South Africa to study a degree in Business & Economics.
Left South Africa for France in 2015, and worked as a Mariner until 2018, whilst also working on SATYA, in Hong Kong.

I’m done for now with all the travelling and want to put all my focus on the cannabis farm.

I look forward to attaining as much knowledge and insight from the Forum and members of Growers Network.

Hello all!!! My name is Ruth. I have been cultivating on small, organic farms in Nor Cal for 10+ years and have experience in many aspects of operations including trim management, inventory, packaging, etc. My focus has been on supplying and consulting with medical patients facing autoimmune disorders as well as degenerative joint and spine issues.

I am most interested in supporting the regenerative, sungrown cannabis movement. We Can heal the planet and the people through conscious cultivation practices! I have training in Permaculture practices specific to cannabis and would love to see farms moving away from dependence on bottled fertilizers as well as pest and disease management products. We have the ability to recharge groundwater basins, create living soil, capture carbon and so much more while growing amazing, high quality medicine for the people!

I am thankful to be part of this amazing process and look forward to connecting with folks in this network.

Hi GN!
I am with you to expand your knowledge about cannabis, its care and cultivation, as well as the entire shell associated with this lifestyle.
Although I have not spent much time here so far, I see that GN is a great place and great people.

As for me, I want to take care of cannabis cultivation, I have a place and now I am looking for ideas for its development, valuable tips and life-giving systems, as well as ways to finance this investment
I see that I got a great deal because the amount of information that is here is amazing.

As a community, you enchant me with your approach to cannabis and the enormous commitment, it’s great that this industry is growing so strong.

Sorry for my bad English.
Adam.

Nice work!
What’s the latest?
Will it monitor for fire or flood events? Would probably help with insurance costs if it did.

Welcome to the community, @happyhippie! How do you feel the Midwest cannabis market is developing? Where do you see it in 5 years?

Hi @semocultivation, great to have you joining us! Wow… 6 partners! From what occupational backgrounds do you all originate? It’s often very helpful to have your partners have a multidisciplinary approach to your operations, as long as everybody can get along! Hopefully GNET and our awesome community members can help you navigate the process to becoming a successful cannabis business. What is going on right now with the state of the cannabis industry as you see it in the Show Me State?

It’s great to be here! I am very excited about the connections we will make at Growers Network. Technically we have 6 partners but actually it is 3 married couples, with friendships going back 15-20 years. We are a pretty diverse group we have 3 medical professionals(2nurse practitioners and a home health/hospice care nurse) a construction and an agricultural professionals. We are currently reaching out to other professionals to bring on as consultants.
The great Show-Me State passed medical last November. The measure had more votes than any other on the ballot! The program will be ran by the department of health and senior services. They just last month started receiving early application fees for Cultivation, dispensaries, manufacturing, ect. The first week of accepting fees the received more than 2million. I am very optimistic about the future of cannabis in Missouri.

it’s developing… lol… in five years ? no idea??? Every year has been a rollercoaster. If I was to guess quality craft growers as myself will be pushed aside from commercial quality grows. Growers will be working as a laborer for 15 dollars an hour. Hope I’m wrong. That’s why I’m on here I want to be apart of something gigantic not lil caregiver status where I will eventually be ran over and out.

Hey GNet Family,

My name is Philip, and I live in Montreal, Qc. My background has nothing to do with Cannabis besides the fact that I have been a devoted consumer for as long as I can remember!!

I come from the Petrochemical Global Distribution industry in which I have been part of for over 15 years. Last year, I decided to make an effort in steering our company towards the distribution of products that could make a social difference, hoping to play a role in improving the way we live.

One subject that caught my attention was our Soil and how its quality has been depleting at a rapid pace over the last several years. It led me to learn about Humus and the benefits of Humic and Fulvic Acids in agriculture and how it creates a favorable environment for our soil.

So, the first product we decided to start distributing in North America is Humic Land. Humic Land has been available to the global Ag Industry as well as the European Cannabis industry for a couple of years.

As a firm believer in the health benefits of Cannabis, I have joined growersnetwork to introduce this product to the community but also to learn how our product (www.humiclandorganicfertilizer.com) could potentially impact the North American Cannabis industry. I have joined GNet to have the opportunity to have some conversations with some of you, the experts, about how this product or other types of Humic Acid can benefit or already benefit your operations.

I am not much of a green thumb, my growing knowledge still could be considered limited, but I am very interested in learning and welcome any help or guidance anybody is willing to share with me

As well, we are offering free samples to anybody that is willing to try our product and share their experience.

Finally, I wanted to say that I am super impressed with the Growers Network community/platform, the team and what you have built. Keep it up!!

Philip

Hello @ruthandcypress! We love folks who appreciate good medicine coupled with organic farming practices! It’s great to see you here! What has been your favorite permaculture practice that we all need to know about?

Hey there, @Philip.Kayal, welcome to GNET. Your efforts to steer big petrochemical companies towards sustainable practices is very admirable! It’s work like this that will impact the globe in a very meaningful way. Why should growers choose Humic Land?

Thanks @Growernick! My favorite permaculture practice has been adding a lot of heavy wood material (water storage and carbon capture) at the base of the hole/pot, etc. with layers of organic materials, topped with great live soil. This saved our farm in Nor Cal during the third year of drought. All our neighbors were trucking in water, we had no problem

Morning @Growernick, and GNet,
Change happens one step at a time and this industry is a great example of that. We all hope to make a difference in our own way!
Humic Land differentiates itself from other humic acids available on the market not only because it’s organic but because of its innovative manufacturing process. This process allows for the extraction of raw humates (prehistoric plant matter) from Black Peat, from which it originates, with minimal alteration. The interaction between high levels of humic and fulvic acids and the raw humates allows for a rich and powerful acid significantly improving the environment of your grow while offering a pH between 5 and 7.
Because of these benefits, Humic Land concentration is very high and allows for low levels of dilution and can be used at all stages, from seed soaking to flower.
If anybody interested in trying our product, please feel free to message me directly and I’ll put you in for a sample.
Cheers,
Philip

Hello GN,

My company designs and manufactures ultraviolet lighting technology to combat DNA-based pathogens like molds, viruses and bacteria. In addition to the Healthcare, HVAC, Pharmaceutical and Food & Beverage markets we work in, we’ve also been providing UVC equipment to several folks who had microbial contamination issues with their crops (which they would typically tell us were tomatoes or strawberries - but we had a good idea what they were really growing).

My goal here is to figure out the most efficient and effective methods for using UVC technology to improve the quality and yield of cannabis grows and then offer that solution to anyone who would rather not stress out about powdery mildew and various Aspergillus variants ruining their grows.

In addition to being an equipment supplier to the cannabis industry, I’m also an enthusiastic consumer.

Looking forward to getting to know the community here and seeing how I can best help the community with the technology I have to offer.

Have you thought about reclaiming the Hydro water, and putting it back into cycle to minimize waste?

Hello Growers,
Introducing myself - I’m Cole @digicole with JWC. We manufacture products to manage cannabis waste and hemp extraction. I’m really enjoying this forum. There’s a vast amount of information to learn and share on both the grow side as well as on the waste management side. We’re here to ask and be asked questions. I’m looking forward to spirited discussions and topics. The more I learn - the more I want to learn - I suspect that I’ll find a way to be on both sides of the conversations. :sunglasses:

I have installed a few of these in my clean air supply. Was considering if installing a few lights in some corner sections of the grow area might be advantageous?
