Dan from Node Labs here- we do tissue culture for cannabis here in Northern CA.
We provide cleaning+restoration services for genetics/varieties that have become sick. Most often we see fusarium, russet mites, and a few other bugs that are unfortunately common here. I know tissue culture is becoming a more popular topic in cannabis over the last year, I’m happy to answer any questions you have.
Before working at Node I was the Dir of Operations for Chalice, a music+cannabis festival in LA that focused on showcasing hash and the American glass movement. It was a blast, but I am happy to be working on a project on the science side of the industry.
Feel free to reach out to me directly if you’d like!
My name is Jim and I live in Orange County, California.
I have a 4 by 4 foot grow tent. I am on my second veg. cycle.
How important is using C02? Is it worth the trouble?
Hey there, @bryan! Great to have you and your team joining Grower’s Network! Why should growers consider using spectroscopic devices versus some of the alternative technology out there? Why does tec5USA stand out from the pack?
Welcome to the party, @crescentedibles ! What are your favorite edibles to make? What are some of your top sellers? There are many people here on GNET who can help you find lines of distribution as well as well as sources for your raw material so you can savor your sweet delicious success!
Hey @davidganjiverse! It sounds like the Ganjivese team really comes from diverse backgrounds and incorporates a lot of different services into your product offerings. How do you guys manage to keep a balance with it all?

Hi everyone! My name is Brice and I just joined the network last week. I work for a private equity firm out of Los Angeles called StoneCalibre and we recently acquired a company called PhytoTechnology Laboratories. They’ve been around for 20 years and sell plant tissue culture media into the Cannabis space (some of you might have seen their booth at MJBiz).
I’m really looking forward to learning as much as I can - I’m green to the industry (pun intended ). I’m also excited to help educate growers, cultivators, etc. on micro-propagation and the huge benefits it could have on your process. We’ve partnered with a few large players in the space and am looking forward to meeting more of you!
Happy to chat so never hesitate in shooting me a direct message. Looking forward to 2019!
Welcome Brice,
I thought I would get familiar with TC, bought one of those kits online, you may know the ones they sell for hobbies or middle school teachers. With the kit they send the various hormones needed, they kind of mask exactly what they are so one would have to buy more from them. They send enough to do one planting, pre measured to make 1 Ltr each. What they sent is PPM preservative mixture, benzyl Aminopurine, and naphthalene, (NAA). Can you point me in the right direction on how to acquire these items, in a little larger amounts. Would like to do many plantings to get a feel for TC before investing in better equipment.
Thanks
Jim
Hello All,
Che Valdez here from SE Oklahoma, Green River Queen Farms, science guy. Been growing since 2006, Oklahoma is now on the canna map and heading in a good direction. DWRC indoor medical grower, always looking for knowledge, insight and humor.
Hello Grower’s Network community! My wife and I run a small, organic mixed-light greenhouse farm nestled on a Humboldt mountain top. I have been cultivating here for the past 9 years, 2 of which have been as a licensed cultivator. This year we are building a state-of-the-art Nextg3n greenhouse in hopes of bridging the gap between indoor and greenhouse in our mild, arid, high-elevation coastal environment. We are pleased to have stumbled upon this forum because it is full of useful knowledge to help people succeed in this ever more competitive industry.
Our account has been inactive for some time, so I thought I should take a moment to reintroduce ourselves!
My name is Jonah Dorsey and I work for BioSafe Systems. We are a family-owned and operated manufacturer of sustainable disease control products. We began selling our first flagship product, ZeroTol, in 1998. Our chemistry takes an innovative approach at disease control, using a chemical compound called “PAA - Peroxyacteic Acid” that effectively kills bacteria and fungal spores on contact without leaving a residue. PAA’s sustainability and effectiveness makes ZeroTol 2.0 a popular method of disease control in the cannabis industry.
Both my colleagues and I are extremely interested in cannabis and the direction the industry is headed. Growers Network is an excellent opportunity to connect with the industry. Feel free to reach out to us for any questions relating to disease control!
I’m a recent Ph.D. in Applied Bioscience looking for my niche in the cannabis field. I studied plant metabolomics and how we can modulate the production of secondary metabolites with carbon nanomaterials instead of genetic modification. This could have some application in the cannabis field.
I tell people that my husband and I have a nanofarm. We live in a subdivision so there isn’t much space, but we have 4 ducks and 6 chickens. Every summer I try something new in the garden. So far I’ve done strawbales and raised containers. This summer I have a stacking system. I’ve worked with hydroponics a little in the lab and have a small Aerogarden in our kitchen growing rosemary at the moment.
General fields of interest: breeding, metabolite modulation, nutrition (this is of humans- I’ve been through a huge personal journey and love to help people that want to improve their lives via food), and metabolomic analysis of cannabis. I just can’t imagine that the only useful compounds are THC and CBD. We need more research to see what’s in there and if any other isolated compounds are useful.
I’m especially interested in working in Arkansas or a surrounding state. If you want to chat, have ideas about research, etc, feel free to message me. I’m excited to get to know this network and see where we can all grow together!
I’m here to share and learn with everyone. I’ve been a Gardner my whole life and in this market for roughly ten years now. I enjoy making my own soil and watching what it does. However am not limited to this style of growing as I understand and have done other styles of growing. None of which I could get the yields, tastes, and overall quality I could out of my soil mixes. I currently grow Maui waui, gorilla glue 4, cookies and cream, gelato 33, nightfire og, cherry pie, and sour tangie. I’m on here to network with provisioning centers in my state as well as find opportunities to utilize my skills in a larger scale. 72 plants is very limiting to what my capabilities are. I avg. 1.5 lbs+/ 1000 watt. I haven’t tested in a long time but 5 years ago was averaging 23% out of the Maui. I’m not the most ambitious person when it comes to social media and reaching out but I love to communicate and grow as both a person and a company and in this field. I have started to learn that networking is more key in this industry now then it ever has been. I want to be networked well with great growers and companies alike to build both of our opportunities for success and quality work in this industry. My work experiences have been sales, construction, building inspector, and property management. None of which I have enjoyed as much as producing top quality medicine, that is clean, tasty, safe, and top notch. That is why I just started the happy hippy. Im here to network with large growers and companies in these fields to increase all of our worth. I’m ready to start growing for a big company or help a smaller scale large operation get off the ground or help you turn your product into something people will remember. It would also be nice to here of or from some bigger players in the Midwest. I know the west coast is where it’s at for a lot of the larger companies but I like the Midwest and would prefer pursuing opportunities closer to me. I would be willing to relocate for a great opportunity. What can we do together to help this industry and be successful together !!! I’m all ears. Thanks for reading this!
Hello,
My name is Josh and I am one of 6 partners at SEMO Cultivation LLC. We are starting a medical cannabis grow facility in a relatively small town in Missouri. While we are not new to cannabis we are new to the medical cannabis industry. We have joined growers network to get insight into the medical cannabis industry and to share our experience so people can learn from our downfalls. We are in the research phase of our company and currently seeking information on lighting equipment, nutrients, and other equipment needed to start a cultivation company. We are open to any and all ideas. I am looking forward to speaking with people on this forum and learning as much as possible. Big thanks to Growers Network for letting me join. I feel like I have finally found my best resource to help start our company! If anyone has any tips, tricks or pointers for starting a grow company, please share. We need all the help we can get. Cannabis is our passion and we can not wait to provide our community and the rest of Missouri with high quality cannabis!
Thanks for reading!
Welcome to our community, @dlmcgehee. I think your background will suit you well here and we stand to learn as much from you as you do from us. We are excited to see your contributions!
