Welcome to the community, @Arjun! Could we use your tech to bring an episode of Canna Cribs to VR?

Salutations Arjun and Jon. VR and AR to the cannabis industry sounds incredible. Can I just say, if you’re not thinking about doing an AMA (Ask Me Anything) - you should highly consider it. I’m anxious to see what your team brings to the table!

Hi Joe,

Thanks for reaching out to Arjun!

I wanted to introduce myself. I work as CEO of CannaXR.

I also am on the leadership board of the Chicago Chapter of VR/AR Association, so we are fortunate to have access to VR & AR developers and content creators.

I know that you asked Arjun about whether we’re where looking to use Unity or Unreal.

We are currently talking to a developer that has experience with both engines. He is working on training applications. Whether we end up working with him, or other developers we have access to via VRARA, all of these folks have experience working with both engines. We are also talking with an established developer of both VR and AR apps to assist us with the AR content in regards to on the job equipment maintenance and agricultural growth.

Right now, we are in the process of conducting product research to learn what solutions we can bring to the market to assist cultivation and processing facilities owners.

Have you been in the industry long, and what type of customers are you looking for?

Best,
Jon

Hi Jon,

I’m a 25 year veteran of post-production technology that crossed over into cannabis. Right now I have feet in both industries separately and getting ready to go into production on a movie. We’re looking into development using either engine, thus my question. Although Unity has a LOT more available talent, I reeeeaaallly like the Unreal engine though it needs some work for proper post production.

In any case, you should definitely be attending SIGGRAPH in Los Angeles next week. This particular event should be of interest to you. If you come please DM me with your phone number and I’ll be glad to meet up with you.

Hey all, my name is Robin and I grow things at Joy Ridge Farms. We’re an owner operated farming group, some of us coming from the dark days, some newer to things. We are currently farming 2 acres, 1 in Sonoma county and the other in Yolo county. The Sonoma operation is strictly full term outdoor and Yolo is a mix of greenhouse that we dep and full term outdoor.

Looking forward to having discussions on HOW everyone does everything. I love learning about new tech and methods, even if they don’t necessarily apply to my situation. Very interested in learning more about fresh frozen and how the products from that get made!

Cheers!

This is a great place to learn and where you can also contribute what you have learned from your growing experiences. I was just up in your area at Sparetime Supplies Summertime EXPO last weekend. I may be at NorCal Garden Supply’s customer appreciation day Sept. 14th. Is that near to you? If so I look forward to seeing you.

Welcome @joyridgefarms to the forum. You’ve just given me yet another reason to visit Napa Valley and Sonoma. Seriously mellow weekend in the planning. Looking forward to your input.

Good morning,

Thank you for the opportunity to be involved in the network!

Our company has been producing craft cannabis flower for two years. We are 80 to 100 plants, with a variety of strains some old favorites and some new CBD rich strains for that growing market.

We are in the process of forming the Craft Cannabis Growers Association in our area. We use many old school methods, tend daily and watch our grow carefully to achieve top quality product for our recreational clients and medical patients.

Looking forward to learning from many of you who are more experienced growers. Thanks again!

Welcome @peaceking to the GN Forum,

Craft Cannabis seems very intriguing to me. I’ve learn so much on the forum with all the great insights and information. I keep saying that there needs to be a major festival similar to Whiskey-Fest in San Francisco. The only downside - (if there is one) - is t hat it’ll have to be a week long - so I can remember how much fun I’m having.

Great idea Digicole!

Craft Cannabis Growers Associations are starting in many States and Provinces. In some cases there are different guidelines for growing smaller quantity. 80 to 100 plants can produce an impressive amount of product if done right.

We find that our medical patients and recreational customers are concerned about pesticides and chemical compounds and we are questioned about growing techniques. Our customer base of 50 to 60 year old people ask for strains that were popular in the 60’s and 70’s and our younger customers grew up eating healthy diets and are equally concerned about the purity of the medicine. One thing both groups seem to love is variety. We only sell flower and we are often asked about strains that will elevate very specific conditions. 1:1 strains, CBD strains. It is an exciting mix of science and patience and care!

Yes! A Craft Cannabis Fair is a great idea! Your right it would have to be at least a week long! So many strains,… so little time…!
