Introduce yourself!

Hello everyone!

I was raised in and around 10 green houses on my family owned business Heartland Hydroponics Inc. just outside Charleston, MO. where we grew 50,000 geraniums, 70,000 chrysanthemums, and 60,000 poinsettias every year. Now I’m currently growing 22 various Indica, Sativa, and Hybrid strains for The Prime Leaf in Tucson, AZ. I have experience with drip, ebb and flow, HPS, MH, and LED lights, crystal and liquid fertilizers, and multiple hydroponic growth mediums. My goal is to apply my calibration experience to growing cannabis to produce the highest quality product in a consistent and repeatable method ensuring the customer will get the same flower every time they purchase that flower. I am excited to have a place we can all share knowledge and experience to continue improving how we help the planet by growing cannabis!

V/R,
Joe K.

Hi, My Name is Sean Pearce and I am a retail cannabis buyer in Washington state. I have worked in the cannabis industry for the last 2 years in both the grow and retail sides of the industry. I have worked as a trimmer, sales-rep, budtender, and now buyer. I have experience in 2 different Washington markets where I have purchased for 3 different stores over the last couple years.

Hey all,
My name is Matt and I am the Product Support Specialist at Botanicare, an Arizona-based manufacturer of nutrients, media, and plastics for the hydroponics industry. I grew up around gardening and farming in NC and studied Psychology and Plant Biology in college. Prior to joining the Botanicare team a couple years ago, I managed Homegrown Hydroponics in Gilbert, AZ for 3 years and also spent a summer working for a biotech start-up, running hydroponic trials and mixing solutions from scratch. These days I’m mostly behind the scenes at Botanicare and I’m excited for the opportunity to share ideas and learn from other professionals through this forum in the way I once was able to with certain folks at the grow shop.

@Sean_The_Buyer,

I’d be interested in hearing what you look for when buying for retailers. You should start a thread and explain your methods and tips for growers. \

Hey Adam. Pleasure to connect with you finally. Heard great things of your grow. I managed The Green Halo for over 3 years. I heard your grow op is close to where I live and I would like to know if your in need of assistance. I would like to discuss this further if your open for coffee sometime? I live in Sahuarita but I travel to Phoenix every month for the dispensary networking event.

Hello everyone. I’m Jamie English and the Marketing Manager at Surna. I grew up in Washington state and worked most of my life in the corporate world. Because of my job I’ve lived in Kansas City, MO, Sparanburg, SC and now Loveland, CO. I received my MBA from CSU and started working for Surna last fall. I can’t be happier with my decision to leave big corporate and come to Surna. This company provides climate control equipment to an industry I really believe in and the people here are great! Besides work and school, I have a daughter that’s in college, 4 dogs, 2 cats and saltwater fish. I’m looking forward to great conversations here.
