:wave:Heyy Growers Network community!

I would like to formally introduce myself to those of you who haven’t had the chance to meet me yet through private message or by phone contact.

I am your community Success Coach! :slightly_smiling_face:

I have been here for a while now and realized that I have yet to jump on our welcome stage and introduce myself to you all. (Definitely would like to practice what I am preaching to our new members, as well as our existing members whom have yet to introduce themselves. It is never too late.)

For those of you who are new to our community or not aware of who I am, I am @Kareenabis420, here to assist you all with anything you need in or from our community.

I will encourage and assist you with completing your profiles, assist you with navigating through the features in our community, provide post suggestions in your Vendor Corners and/or Categories, provide guidance on the best practices for establishing B2B conversations without seeming “spammy”, provide assistance with learning more about how to create new topics with/without tags, and provide tips on how to become successful in our community.

I will be reaching out to you all via private message if I see that you are communicating in our community without a completed profile. (Think of it as you are engaging in conversations or creating posts with a letter bag over your head in our private community.) It’s OK to be seen as the face of your company or be the face behind your company logo. Either way, please upload a profile picture and enter your About Me.

Also, coming soon, I will be posting tips/answers on the most asked questions from new and existing members in my Success Coach Corner. This corner will have answers to your questions, silent as well as audio videos on how to navigate the site and how to use certain features and tools, and I will also be encouraging you all to follow our joint notion of being an interactive community by encouraging you to send a quick reply of acknowledgement to members whom have sent out private messages.

Please feel free to reach out and ask me anything. I would be more than happy to provide assistance to anyone who needs help with anything or to anyone who has questions about the features as well as making connections in our community.

We are almost at 3700 vetted members on the Network and I would love to see more interaction as well as more members online, especially as we continue to grow in this ever-growing industry.

Hey all!

My name is Michael Chang and I’m currently a sales assc at Nutrien Solutions, a international supplier of crop inputs and I am currently finishing my degree in Controlled Environment Agriculture at the UofA in Tucson, as well.
I have grown commercially in AZ during 2015-2016 and during that time specialized in metabolite extractions and grow operations. It was during this time I decided to pursue a degree in commercial greenhouse production to really be able optimize inputs as well as IPM for commercial grows.
I have practical knowledge in developing modernized Hoagland solutions for hydroponic production as well as implementing IPM programs that include either/or biological/organic solutions as well as conventional.
I am also currently working with a professor at the UofA CEAC to create a model to calculate total production costs for greenhouses and expect to have that complete by Spring 2019.

I am very excited to be invited to your network and hope to share as much knowledge as I can to ensure the members here can be as successful as possible!

Great to be connecting with another Aussie in this awesome network.

To answer your question, I can see this happening type of financing emerging in many parts of the world. At this point in time, we are focused on the US but I will have to discuss with our underwriters if they are willing to fund Australian businesses when the laws change.

Please be aware that our organization only provides debt financing solutions to existing businesses that have been operational and getting revenue. We do not provide equity funding for start-up companies.

Hi @KanGrow

I believe that Tilray got Australian government regulatory approval about 5 days ago to import medicinal cannabis for juveniles into Australia. It’s only a matter of time before Australia gets cannabis legalised there.

I too hope that the cannabis industry becomes legal in Australia soon and I hope that my organisation will be in a position to offer loans in Australia when that happens.

Hey everyone

My names is Taylor.
i have about three years growing experience, in an in door 500 light facility, running off gravitas smart lights, using a soil base grow medium in pots.
With the legalization in Canada i have signed up for a number of collage courses regarding cannabis growing and legal classes on laws. this week i have my first pest management for cannabis growing class at the Okanongan Collage, witch focuses on PM and Thrips, I am extremely excited to see how this course goes.
Over the years of Growing of course i have learned from many mistakes and have began to thrive from these experiences. hopefully this form and schooling will be able bring me to a new level of production growing.
