Is this light a good deal?

From this morning. I’m going to go ahead and chop chop.

It looks to me that they are mostly cloudy with a good bit of amber. Looking for uplifting, pain relieving effect. Definitely not couch lock or sofa-cement (made that up myself).

Here are the results. I am confident the FloraFlex 700 watt 8-bar made a world of terrific difference from previous grows. I am very happy with how it did, even with the fact that i didn’t have it for the first seven weeks of plant growth.

Can the soil I used be reused in future grows? Or does the fact that it has fertilizer and other stuff already in it make it unuseable?

I also moved the other plant into the center of the tent and lowered the net so that I could drastically spread out the branches. Hopefully, it’s not too late into flower stage for that to make a positive impact.

I found its name tag. It was a Banana Kush auto, germinated 02/09/25.

I feel like the top 5 best can be very subjective.

Light and temperature degrades trichomes. I use a 5x5x7 tent to keep it dark and control humidity and temperature as best as possible, I shoot for 60/60. Also I harvest before the light would normally turn on to max out on terps, just my thought based on researching.

Nope its not to late. Thats perfect and the buds will turn up and adjust them selves. Just give them a bit. Those buds should get bigger now. :+1:

I also gave them a blast of Miracle-Gro 10-52-10!
(Just joking).

funny, I used to use that on my house plants, works pretty well still have bags of it prolly ten years old now.

That would work… the reason folks weren’t using the miracle grow was because of extended nitrogen release. It would last to long into flower.

Miracle-Gro 3000992 Dry Plant Food, 8 oz Box, Solid, 24-8-16

Nutrients/ minerals are what they are. You just gotta check numbers.

I use the Sta-Green 24-8-16 on my hot peppers. It works well and is much less expensive than Miracle-Gro and us the same composition.

I’m curious how the Organics Alive sample pack nutrients are going to compare to the dakine420 I have been using.

Dakine is how i learned about the nute numbers relevancy. Trying to explain to low npk users the differences between each nutrient ratio was difficult.

On a scale of 1 to 5; 5 being the best, where would you rank Dakine420 nutrients in terms of ease of use, flexibility for precise measurements, and cost?

Where would you put Jack’s Nutrients Part A & B (plus Epsom salts,) and Organics Alive on that scale?

One thing to remember is all nutrients are all NPK its just a numbers game and understanding them. I have tried every kind of nutrient brand. I have 6 brands downstairs right now. And i like them in this order.

  1. Dakine420
  2. Roots organics
  3. Dutchpro
My top 3 i like. And all I use. I have 5 brands because some are not to my liking and more of a pia than there worth
This is a can of worms question. Youll get so many respones and contradictions. Youve used a few brands yourself. It all comes down to money and ease of use. Because all nutrients are just npk. Some are salt based. Some are sugar based. There a lot that goes into growing. I tend to stick with the Kiss method. Keep it stupid simple. Yours start adding to many things and then you get problems and cant figure out where you went wrong because you have too much going on to figure out what actually cause the issues and then you spend all this time trying to counteract the problem and usually make it way worse. Keep it simple man. Its like the old saying: too many cooks in the kitchen…i mean how many people/ingredients can stir one pot? Imagine 3 cooks trying to stir one pot! Yeah too much is too much and trying ppms in soil is out of the question.

Agreed, and I bet that there are a lot of light mfg’s that would dispute those choices lol.

I have no complaints about the 700 watt, 8 bar FloraFlex light I just got. Based on looking around, $375 seems like a good price for it. And I was able to get it at that price from a local business instead of Bezos’ Basement.

I really like the fact that I can daisy chain 100 of them together. That feature is going to come in handy next month after I win Powerball.

I didn’t recall you being a Dakine420 user. Although, that’s probably how I heard about it. I’ve never heard of Dutchpro and Roots Organic. My deciding factor is $$.

I’m going ro give Organics Alive a try because the sample pack of 4 powders and 4 foliar spray liquids was only $20.
Jacks A and B is inexpensive and I already have Epsom salts, and I can also use it on my peppers.

At the end of the day all that matters is how it’s derived and where its from, Goal is sustainability and lowest/no heavy metals.
