My Summer's Grow

In the small tent at 73 days since popping and 15 days since flipping the tent and everyone is in full early flower - pistils everywhere and the smells are starting to develop - earlier than in the past - This tent is a 4x4 and has a total of 800 true watts a mix of HLG and full spectrum COBs - this tent does NOT have UV at all and is getting hand feed from the top as opposed to the big tent which is bottom-fed from a reservoir - This small tent has had 2 top dressings in flower of EWC/Fishbone meal/Frass/wood ash and… other amends. This tent has been getting the same nutrient mix and Budbusterpro applications as the other tent. -
There are 3 gals in 7 gallon rain science bags - left rear is Cantava from Aficionado-French connection, right rear is Blackberry moonrocks from Anesia Seeds, and fron is Transcendence (Blood Oath) from Tiki Madman/Clearwater collab.
I have not defoliated a single leaf from either tent the entire grow, not one leaf - I am interested to see what this does to yield and taste -
Everyone has been topped only once and very early in life - no net

Thanks for looking -

I thought it was time to get to know some of my gals in the Big tent - They are all 17 days since flipping - This very healthy and pretty gal is from fishermanseedsofficial (clonefamofficial) and is one of their newer crosses Apple Fritter x Purple Cherry Cookies - She has already begun to smell a sweet, gassy fragrance that is driving me wild  - I am really happy with the stretch this run - I wanted to get the final height to within 12-18 inches from the lights which are at the ceiling of the tent.
Thank you for looking - nothing is for sale of trade - ever. Have a Great Tuesday!

She is one really healthy gal
I have several other of his crosses with Biker OG - I am awaiting his crosses with Oreoz which I am hopeful will be ready by the time I am starting my next run…
He is on IG if you wanted to see their work as @Fishermanseedsofficial and @clonefamofficial - nice guy and pure fire…

Also in the Big Tent and 17 days from flipping to flower is acid rain_strain from @rapseed - She is 74 days old and is an honor plant for a fallen friend that died a couple of months ago from Covid - I have committed to growing at least 1 honor plant in each grow. She is extremely strong and vigorous and she is the most fragrant of all those growing - Her smell is a sweet candy with a hint of spice and oh-so-nice  . She is still stretching but slowing down and the inter-nodal spacing is tightening - I can tell she is going to be a monster in flower. @rapseed has lots more goodness and all Fire. I will be buying more varieties

FANTASTIC Lateral branching - I only topped her once and very little LST

Lots and Lots of budsites

stacking perfectly with no help from me.

she smells divine

I am not defoliating this run - but the lower branches look strong as well

I cannot wait to put this bud into my Mighty and vape away all that may…

I have not seen my girlfriend in a week and a half - Since I went to the pet store to buy her some crickets -
The crickets are long gone and she has not returned - we have had several nights that were below freezing so I do not believe I will see her again.

This is the last picture I took of her -
I know its silly, but I miss her terribly…

Your grow is looking great raven (as always!).
I believe your non-defoliation is going to be revealing…can’t wait to see !

Sorry that the inevitable has come to pass with your girlfriend, but I’m pretty sure you’ll see a army of her offspring next spring ! Doesn’t it always work out that when you buy the feed, the birds fly the coop!
Take care and soldier on !!

Thank you Bob - Yes - you are right - I remember when I was in the Bronx (where I was born and raised) and was waiting for a bus, all I needed to do was light up a cigarette and the bus would show up (I quit smoking cigs when I turned 50 and now I vape) - similar concept haha -
Thank you on my grow - I really like the full natural look of their expression - My only concern with not defoliating is the airflow below the canopy - with the density of the undergrowth it can be stifling - So I have 2 - 48" rotating floor tower fans on either end and several smaller fans directing the airflow as well I am able to close off the room and keep the tents open to allow more air volume along with my exhaust/intake system - so I think Iw ill be okay but that’s another practical reason indoor growers like to defoliate - My goal is not one leaf in either tent haha

Not silly at all.

In the big tent - May I introduce you to Peach Marachino from #lovininhereyes🌹 - she is an honor plant for a fallen friend that recently died. She is the tallest girl - I just couldn’t keep a good woman down  She is about 12 inches from the lights at the tent ceiling - She has been building some really beautiful and fragrant buds - What a pretty plant - Last run I grew her Candy Chem and the colors on the buds in the fade were magnificent and I have a feeling these will be even better -
She is 18 days since flipping the tent and has a long way to go but I LOVE how she is developing.
She is also 12 inches away from the UV lights that I am running for 7 hours a day - Not a burn mark anywhere and I see the color coming out sooner than previous grows…

She has been praying for several days - I gave everybody a bloom ACT tea and.
Thank you for looking -

This is Night Cakes from Bulletproof Genetics - everybody in both tents are the same age 18 days from flip. She is squished in the corner as both Peach Marachino and Acid Rain are crowding her and not respecting the others’ boundaries
I really like the flower structure this gal is showing - very nice naturally budding and stacking - she is just quietly expressing herself without fanfare - but I have noticed and am paying attention - I have a good feeling about her. The smoke is supposed to be killer.

Thank you for looking.

The last girl in the Big tent is Humboldt Seed Company’s Garlic Budder - She like everyone in the tent is 18 days in flower and 74 days old - She has been trouble-free the entire grow and starting to stack nicely - she stretched alot like Peach Maraschino but now they are both filling in and it makes me happy to watch them “bud-up” the blank space between nodes…
For Thanksgiving, I gave all the gals a very healthy bloom act tea - they ate (and drank) it all up -

very nice lateral branching on all the gals

buttons are getting wide and fatter

She is getting a full treatment of UV and I can see a frosted difference in the buds that are directly under those lights.

Thank you for looking and hope your holidays are filled with love

I am running an experiment this run - its not with scientific accuracy or methods, but an experiment none-the-less - I have 5 girls in the big tent and 3 gals in the small tent - The nutrients are the same, the wattage per plant is about the same (240 in big tent 245 in small tent) the spectrums are similar but not the same, same age, same BudBusterPro treatments) - there are some Major differences - big tent is autopots so bottom feeding vs the small tent is top fed, I can top dress the small tent gals not the big tent, In the media I mixed all soiless (coco/promix/EWC/amendments) in the big tent and in the small tent I added soil with less coco/promix (I do this in my outdoor plants but never indoors), The Big tent has the UV no UV in the small tent, In the small tent I can add humic and fulvic acids and seaweed extract and other kelp products to my hearts content but in the big tent using a reservoir and small tubing I have to use them very sparingly or it will clog the system and zero defoliation on any plants.
Here is the small tent

here is a representative bud site from the small tent

here is a representative bud site from the big tent

Its very hard to tell in the photos but the small tent’s buds are further developed and the node spacing is tighter as well as fuller with budsites - I interpret this as they are further along in flower than the big tent I cannot be sure that any of the differences are because of genetics or the changes in the environment - every plant is a different breeder and strain.
I will be very interested as this experiment progresses and will be sure to update my findings. I will be very interested in whether or not the soil makes a difference in taste

Just before lights out I decided to see what the UV lights looked like as the sole lighting source and see the coverage - It is not totally accurate for coverage as what we are seeing here is only the visible portion of the uv spectrum.

the 2 honor plants are getting the highest dosage intensity - it sort of reminds me of my old college days and the blacklights we all had. I thought it was pretty and so I am posting it for all to see.

You need one of those fuzzy blacklight posters now

Very interesting coverage. This is why i always run Uv from seed to weed. But seriously the sun puts out uv so why not try emulating the sun? Nice :+1: keep testing. We talked about this but everyone else here didn’t.

Thank you @dunbar
and @PreyBird1 you are right - conventional wisdom is definitely conventional but its not always wisdom  that’s why I try everything myself and share my experiences - I have found that there is alot of misinformation out there about nuance growing techniques.

Three weeks since flipping the tent and all is well in my world

I have never had this much bud development this early in flower - this looksmore like 4-5 weeks in flower.
Thanks for looking

In the small tent where the bud development is uniformly further along than in the big tent here is #Transcendancestrain from a collab between @tikimadmanseedz and @clearwatergenetics

it was originally called Blood Oath but changed their name before shipping - Compared to the big tent these gals’ buds are larger and more mature by several days - I believe it is because I can top dress Malted Barley in the small tent but not the big tent and that is speeding up the flowering cycle.

There are 2 more gals in there  Nothing is for sale or trade - ever - Thank you for looking -
Aside from losing one of my gals to a sex change operation, this grow has been pretty much trouble free - I will not second guess good fortune and count my blessings

And to finish up the individual introductions are the last 2 in the back at day 25 in flower
Back Left is Cantava and Back Right is Blackberry Moonrocks Front is Transcendence.

Cantava from Aficionado French Connection -

Blackberry Moonrocks

I have the lights on for 10.5 hours and off for 13.5 - and will reduce in a couple of days another half-hour - Both tents are on the Gas Lantern Routine schedule for flowering - I am liking what I am seeing.
Thanks for looking - hope your day is as good as it can be!!
