Adapt and overcome is a great line from the movie Heartbreak Ridge and that’s the way I live life.
Marine Corps!!!
I’m retired Army, however I’ve worked with and trained with every branch of the U.S. Military and traveled a lot training foreign militaries. I had a great time in my youth!
@nacho151 thank you for your services i wish you well, between you and @PreyBird1 you guys are walking hardware stores
Lol! I am pretty sure @PreyBird1 has a few more pounds of titanium in him than me! I probably should break down and let them fix my lumbar spine but I’m trying to avoid wheelchairs for as long as possible.
Call one of them lefty one righty. L9. Serious tho imagine if the steel in u was like platinum and ppl was out to get those limbs e t like they do cat converters. Lol. U guys would have to have a security team like rappers do.
When I worked for the University of Michigan I used to hate having to fly to Detroit, their metal detector was really sensitive, because when I was flying back home TSA would pull me to the side and make all the new agents run metal detectors over my arm to show them how to detect metal implants. I caused a few flights to be delayed because of it. My last flight I took a couple of years ago TSA was kind of giving me a hard time because I was using a wheelchair, so I had to get out of it to stand in the x-ray machine, they freaked out when the agent running the scanner yelled at them to put me back in the wheelchair, until they saw the image the scanner had taken.
Sorry to hear that it would really suck!
Here is an update on my UVB hanger project. Just need to go get some small nuts and bolts to put it all together.
@CoyoteCody could prolly print u up some clips that will just clip to the poles and I’d be able to mount it to the light he does all kinds of stuff for tents fan brackets wire hanger clips last clips ect. I would print something up for ya and send it to ya but my dad stole my printer so he had something to do since being retired.
I know someone with a printer here locally, but telling him what I need over the phone seems to be impossible for him to grasp. Ideally a 3x16 inch polished aluminum with a 45 degree angle with clamps would probably be a better holder, but I no longer have access to a machine shop, all of them closed down around here. When I send him a picture with the prototype in it he might understand what I’m trying to do. Lol!
I could probably make it work. I just wanted to make it with stuff I have on hand, that would be easy to mount and dismount. Lol!
Cody could make u some shit let me tell u. Lol. All solid 1 piece brackets hell I think he does swivel brackets too that u can adjust up and down ect. He makes some pretty cool shit. Bongs ect. He has lots more computer skills than I’ll ever have. Lol. He had to run me thru the process with everything I wanted to print.
Py should have read everything before I posted. Lol
No problems, I just have a lot of time on my hands to work on cheap and easy ideas! In reality I could make it out of wood and the spring clamps. Lol!
Great Movie. Great story
Yep nice hardware man! Thats some fancy gear!
I watched a video where a guy took a pvc tube cut a small piece cut a notch out and screw it down and heat it up and make a clamp out of pvc.
